Just a Simple Update

Ladies and gentlemen, Styx.

Just thought I'd do a little post to let everyone know how things have been going. Today was a little better than yesterday, even though I had to mow the lawn again. Mowing the lawn is probably one of the biggest reasons why I do not like summer. So between mowing the lawn and everything else that's been happening, I'm a little tired. I haven't really been able to write much, besides coming up with a few story ideas. One thing that has been helping me is making wallpapers.

As for my cat, he hasn't really improved much since last night. He hasn't been drinking very much, though he has been eating some. He's also still not able to walk very well. I'm still more optimistic about my cat's condition than I was over the weekend, but it can still go either way. If my cat doesn't continue to improve over the next few days, my dad will have to make a big decision based on his quality of life. But right now, all we can do is continue to wait.

One of our major concerns is the fact that my cat isn't drinking much. This afternoon I did give him an ice cube to lick, and he lapped some of the water off that, but it wasn't very much. The other thing I'm really concerned about is his lack of mobility. It seemed like he was a little steadier on his feet today, but not much. Of course that's probably more due to the stroke than his infection. But it seems that my cat knows that he can't walk right and it really bugs him. Anymore, his meows sound pretty mournful. But again, all my dad and I can do is wait and see how things go.

That's pretty much it for now. Hope everyone else had an okay day.

EDIT: More encouraging news. Tonight my cat actually got up and walked around the living room for a few minutes, exploring. This is the most life my dad and I have seen from him in the last few days. Plus my cat is a lot steadier on his feet than he was before. He's still staggering a bit, but he's much better than before. Also, my cat drank a lot of water this evening, so I'm even more optimistic than before.
