State of TheO and Other Stuff

Ladies and gentlemen, Styx.

Over the last few days, TheO has seen a few pretty big changes. One of the biggest changes is that pages like the main wallpaper page have lost that whole top eight thing. I for one think that change is a really good one. For one thing, it makes TheO seem a little less dead. Let's face it, the activity on this site has really dropped over the last couple of years. A lot of members haven't been logging in as much as they used to, due to stuff like school or work, or even other websites. I know that while I try and log in here at least two or three times a day to see what's going on, one of the big reasons why I haven't been submitting as many wallpapers as I used to is because I've been more focused on my fan fiction writing.

Another fairly small change that I've noticed is that the site has finally fixed that little glitch where when you'd click the button to vote for or favorite a piece of work, it'd turn into that little box with a question mark. That's kind of been bugging me for awhile. Another big change to TheO is that it now has a Facebook page. I'm not really sure how to feel about that actually. The truth is I'm one of the few people out there who does not have a Facebook page. I've just never really seen the point to having one. But I guess it does give TheO a little bit more exposure, and that can only be a good thing.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my feelings about these new updates to the site. On another topic, the Digimon fanfic I've been working on has finally been getting a little more attention. Since the last time I mentioned it, the story has gotten three reviews and one follower. I know it's not much, but it's a lot more than what it had before. Of course the chapter I put up today has gotten zero response so far. I was really hoping for some feedback on that chapter since it's one I've really been wanting to write for awhile. I've probably said this before, but for me bad feedback is better than no feedback at all.

Speaking of Digimon, I've been wanting to do something related to the franchise here on TheO for the last month or so. I just haven't been able to figure out what that might be. Maybe I could just do some Digimon-related posts once a week or something. I'd do some Digimon wallpapers, but it's impossible to find usable images outside of a few screenshots. Out of curiosity though, does anyone actually remember Digimon? I mean I know it's a pretty old franchise and only the first three shows in it were really good.

Well, that's pretty much it for my ramblings today. Thanks for reading, and until next time.
