Storms and Other Stuff

Ladies and gentlemen, R.E.O. Speedwagon.

I ended up having a fairly unpleasant evening today. Some storms blew through the little town where I live. I had heard they were coming like a few days in advance, but I had no idea it was going to be so bad. We ended up getting golfball-sized hail and high speed winds. Those two things combined can cause a lot of damage. My house now has a broken window and the siding now needs to be replaced on one side. Of course my aunt's house got it a lot worse. Practically all the windows of her front porch were just shattered.

It was real crazy when the hail started coming down too. At first it wasn't too bad, but very quickly the hailstones started getting bigger and pretty soon the noise of it hitting the house was so bad that I couldn't hear the TV in the living room. I ended up running downstairs to my room to take cover. Of course the hail and wind didn't last too long. For the rest of the evening we've just been getting a lot of rain. But tomorrow I'll probably have to go around the backyard and pick up pieces of siding.

So I'm a little bit stressed right now. Though that's not the only thing that's got me a little on edge at the moment. Tomorrow I have to make an appointment to see a doctor. Before anyone asks, there's nothing seriously wrong with me. I just need to renew the prescriptions for my chronic migraines. But what's got me stressed is that I've decided to see a doctor that I've never seen before. My original doctor was okay, but his office is out of town and it's kind of an aggravating drive. Plus the last few years I've seen him, it's seemed like he no longer gives a crap. Still, I can't help but feel uneasy about seeing a doctor I've never met before.

Other than that, things have been going pretty okay lately. I still need to make the prizes for my last wallpaper challenge, but hopefully I'll be able to get to that this weekend. Anyway, I hope everyone else had an okay day.
