Balance and Odd Dreams

Ladies and gentlemen, the Beatles.

This afternoon I had to do something that usually wears me out, mow the lawn. It's kind of an irritating job because I have to use the kind of lawnmower that has the cord. It wouldn't be so bad if there weren't so many trees in my yard. Not to mention my dad's vegetable garden. Which at the moment is nothing more than a large patch of dirt with a lot of crap in it left from the last garden. I think he's pretty much given up on the thing. Anyway, it took me about two and a half hours to get the job this time. Towards the end it became really overcast and I became afraid it would start raining before I'd be able to finish.

So anyway, I've been meaning to do this post for a couple of days now. For the past week it seemed like my normal routine has been completely thrown off. It sort of began when my dad went to Colorado for a few days. Sure I had the house to myself and could watch anime on Netflix late into the evening. But the downside was that the TV shows we normally record over the week to watch later really piled up. Of course what really threw me off was last Saturday when my dad and I went to visit my mom's relatives. We had dinner with them at about 5:30, and you'd think after that we'd only visit with them for about an hour or two. We ended up staying at my grandparents' apartment until about 9:45.

It took about half an hour to get back home, and as a result I missed the first half of the second Attack on Titan episode to air on Toonami. Of course I recorded that episode, so it's no big deal. Plus I'm not all that into Attack on Titan so far. What was worse though was that Saturdays is when I usually do my laundry, and that night I wasn't able to put in my first load until about 11:00 after I remembered to do it. Then I had to wait until the next morning to do the second load. But no big deal I guess. The good news is that I seem to have gotten back to my usual routine. Now I'd like to close this post with a couple of odd dreams I've had the last couple of nights.

The first was from two nights ago. I was playing one of the old Yu-Gi-Oh! video games from the Gameboy Advance. Somehow I had unlocked some kind of weird part of the game where I dueled Bandit Keith as some kind of masked cyborg. I don't remember if I won or lost, and I have no clue how being a cyborg helped improve his dueling ability. Something like that would make for an interesting fanfic though. Incidentally, Bandit Keith is an opponent that can be dueled in the one Yu-Gi-Oh! video game I still have (his deck totally sucks in that game).

The second dream I had was last night. I looked out into my back yard and saw what looked like a toucan at out bird feeder. It flew off, and then a small giraffe wandered into the yard. At the same time, our lawn changed into a big desolate patch of dirt. After the giraffe walked out of view of the window, a gorilla came into the house and punched my dad in the face. Or it might've been a really huge guy in a gorilla costume, I'm not sure. Either way, I woke up sometime after that part.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that stuff. I hope everyone else has had a good day. Until next time.
