Another Anime Binge

Ladies and gentlemen, Abba.

Since my last few posts were kind of on the gloomy side, I decided to start this post on an upbeat note. And the above video was the most upbeat song I could think of off the top of my head. Anyway, since my dad's been out of town for the past few days (he actually came back last night) I decided to check out Netflix and see if they had any new anime shows streaming since the last time I check. Turns out they had quite a bit. And the first series I watched was this.

Yep, I finally got around to watching that series. I have to say, that was a hell of a thing! Sure wasn't quite what I was expecting though. I mean I heard it was a little on the dark side, but I didn't know it was going to be that dark. That creature, Kyubey was like some kind of lovecraftian horror! And a lot of those battle scenes were like this animated skits from Monty Python's Flying Circus on acid. All in all though, that was a pretty dang good series. It certainly lived up to the hype.

I also saw that Netflix was streaming Sword Art Online. I wish they had been streaming that show back when it was airing on Toonami. That way I would've been able to save myself the agony of waiting each week for the next episode, but whatever. Anyway, I went ahead and watched SAO again as soon as I finished Madoka. That's how much I like that series. I think at the moment SAO is one of my top three favor anime shows along with Sailor Moon and the original Yu-Gi-Oh.

Anyway, my little anime binge has come to an end at the moment. Right now, the only other anime shows streaming on Netflix are shows that I've seen more than once, shows I don't know anything about, or shows I'm just not that interested in. Though there is one show on there at the moment that I'm a little curious about. Anyone know anything about a series called Chaos Head? I think I saw a trailer for it once and it looked interesting. But I'd prefer to get someone else's opinion on that series before I start watching it.

So that's what's been happening with me for the past few days. Until next time.
