Just Not That Into It

Ladies and gentlemen, the legendary Genesis.

Just thought I'd do a little post to let everyone know how I'm doing. For those who care, that little issue I was having with FanFiction.Net quickly resolved itself. On that note though, I'm having a little trouble getting started on this one fanfic that I've kept putting off. I actually started on the outline for it this afternoon, but… I don't know. So far I just can't seem to get into it. Maybe I'm trying to force myself to get it done. Plus there's this other story idea I have that's kind of taken on a life of its own. I know that if the spark's not there, it's just not there. Yet at the same time, there are a few people out there waiting for this story to get off the ground.

Other than that, things have been going pretty okay. I went for a walk this afternoon and ended up going to this little park overlooking the countryside. Actually it's not really a park, but more of a small grassy lot with a few benches, a sidewalk, and a tiny little playground for the kids. But just sitting on one of those benches I could hear the croaking of all the frogs in the creek far away. Going for that walk helped me brainstorm for the story idea I mentioned earlier, the one that's started to take on a life of its own. It kind of seems like maybe I should be working on that other story. But then I've been putting off that other one for several months now.

Anyway, I'm not really looking forward to next week. At the achieves where I help out, they're having a special week where people come from all over to help with the normal work. The place usually turns into a madhouse during that week. The place just gets crowded with people I don't know all that well, and I usually get stuck doing some tedious minor task. Meanwhile, my normal projects get put on hold, and when it's finally over my usual work area is left in a mess. So yeah, it's probably going to be a long week for me next week.

I think that pretty much covers it for this post. I hope everyone else has been having a good week.

End
