Ladies and gentlemen, Oingo Boingo
Something unexpected happened to me today. I now have a new computer. Technically it's not mine though. It belongs to the school district that my dad works for, but then so did my old computer. What happened today though was that I accidentally dropped my old laptop on the floor (something that I confess I've done a few times before), and when I tried turning the thing on, nothing happened. So I called my dad, and he went up to his office and got this newer model that is now in my possession.
In all honesty, I've been wanting a new computer for quite some time. But I never wanted to get one the way I did. I feel a little guilty about it, partly because I ended up ruining part of my dad's weekend. Plus this computer is going to take a lot of getting used to for me. On the other hand, my dad said that he was surprised that my old computer lasted as long as it did. It was pretty ancient by today's standards. Plus FanFiction.Net seems to run a lot better on this unit and videos seem to run smoother. So I guess I should try to look at the positives of all this.
There is one other negative though. This computer has a completely different screen resolution, which means that NONE OF THE WALLPAPERS I'VE MADE IN THE PAST WILL WORK FOR IT! So I'm going to have to start making wallpapers that are at a completely different size for this thing. In closing, this is kind of a big adjustment for me.
