Hello, and welcome to my world of random thoughts. This world is where I'm going to talk about stuff related to anime and manga, and maybe a few other things. First, a few things about me.
I like cats, my favorite food is french fries, and I was born an only child.
Favorite Anime/Manga: Yu-Gi-Oh!, Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew, Card Captor Sakura, Vampire Princess Miyu, Code Geass, Digimon: Seasons 1 through 3, Pokemon (before they got rid of Misty), Gundam SEED, Strawberry Panic, Rideback, Full Metal Panic, and Slayers.
Other Anime/Manga that I like: Buso Renkin, Gurren Lagann, InuYasha, Kannazuki no Miko, Shattered Angels, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, Durarara!!, Spice and Wolf, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, Dragonaut: The Resonance, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Trinity Blood, Blue Gender, Eden of the East, Last Exile, and Soul Eater.
TV Shows that I like: Star Trek (Original, Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager), Magnum P.I., Numbers, The Simpsons, The West Wing, Hawaii Five-O (Remake), NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, Doctor Who, Leverage, The Mentalist, Elementary, and The Red Green Show.
Favorite Musical Groups/Artists: Phil Collins, Genesis (the band that Phil Collins was with originally), Journey, Styx, Boston, Queen, Billy Joel, John Denver, Survivor, and Josh Groban.
So now that's all you need to know about me. In this world I'll be talking about notable anime news stories, maybe stuff about the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game for anyone who's interested, stuff about me that relates to anime and manga in some way, and I'll probably rant about a certain series or a bunch of anime and manga. Or I may just talk about my life in general, if I feel like it. I'm not sure how often I'll post something here, but I'll try to as often as I can. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy visiting.
I've just been promoted to Senior Otaku++. Odd that I didn't get this message earlier in the day, but I'm not complaining. Just one more rung up the ladder and I'll be at Legend status.
Greetings people of TheO. Once again, another of my wallpaper challenges has come to an end, and I have already decided the winners. It was tough judging the entries for this challenge, because so many of them were really good. In the end I decided to judge the entries by the level of emotion in the wallpapers. So here are our winners.
1st Place: Rain Tapping on my Pane by kita mitchi
It's just such a sad image, and the background was brilliantly done in my opinion.
2nd Place: Stand In The Rain by zombieusagi
Right away I recognized which episode of Code Geass this image is from. And I have to say that this wallpaper was a pretty good use of it.
3rd Place: ...even cold november rain... by Hanako Sho
I'm not a huge Guns & Roses fan, but I have to say that was a really appropriate song to use for the title. Also the background was excellently done.
There are a couple of honorable mentions in this challenge.
A Long Road by 21Emmz12
This one came really close to being one of the winners. The one reason why it didn't win was that I felt it was just a tad too bright.
Why Do We Fall by Klassic
Another wallpaper that came really close to winning. The reason why it didn't was because I didn't feel like it had the level of emotion I was looking for.
So there you have it. I wish I could've picked five winners, but this is the way it went. Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone who entered, and I hope you'll all enter my next challenge, which in theory will be starting up shortly. So stay tuned.
It's the first few verses that apply to this afternoon, and yesterday afternoon as well. I may use this song for a wallpaper if I can find an appropriate image. Once again I was outside in 99 degree weather spray painting popsicle sticks for a kids' craft project. This time I was out for four hours and fifteen minutes, though I did take breaks and kept myself hydrated.
