My Random Thoughts

Hello there. Welcome to my world of Random Thoughts. In this world I’ll be posting stuff about anime and manga. Not to mention various other topics. I may post the occasional music video every now and than. And from time to time, I’ll just talk about my life in general. But first, here are a few things about me.

I was born an only child, for one thing. Originally I was planning to go into art professionally, but recently I’ve been more inclined towards writing. I still do the occasional wallpaper every now and then though, and I also still draw a little. But much of my energy these days goes into writing fan fiction. I’ve also recently become interested in archive and library work, which is something I’ve discovered I’m good at. Finally, like most people on the Internet, I like cats.

They Need To Do Another Anime

Well, the Durarara anime ended the night of the seventeenth on Adult Swim. That was one heck of series, one that I definitely wouldn’t mine watching again. I do have one small problem with it though. The story isn’t actually finished. The anime is based on series of light novels that is still ongoing. Plus the anime only covered the first three novels, and from what I find out there are like ten volumes out right now. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great series. I just wish that it told the whole story. I find it very annoying when a series of any kind ends with a whole bunch of stuff unresolved. The Durarara anime leaves a whole bunch of questions unanswered, like does Celty ever get her head back? They need to do another anime. Something like Durarara season two.

So that’s my opinion on the subject, which I wanted to share. I think I’ll close with this song that I was reminded of when I saw the first episode of Durarara. You can all probably figure out why from the song’s title. Good night, and thank you for reading.

Should I Get a DS?

Okay, so I have something that I could use a little advice on. As most of you who've been following my wallpapers probably know, I recently saw one of the new Pokemon movies on TV, and like a day or so after that learned that one of my friends had recently started playing Pokemon Black. All that has made me start to consider getting one of these newer Pokemon games. There is a problem though, I don't even have a Nintendo DS. So my question to all of you is, should I get one of those?

Now I haven't gone over all of the pros and cons. One of the majors pros is that I would be able to play newer video games (for the DS). I mean the only video games systems I have are an old gameboy advance and a gameboy color that unfortunately died years ago. One of the major cons though is the financial cost. I went out to the store where I get Yu-Gi-Oh! cards yesterday, and while I was there I looked at the price of a DS (or whatever the new version is called). The thing cost about $170. 0_0 Plus the game itself cost about $35.00, so that would be a little over 200 bucks right there. I mean, sure I could afford that. I have a good chunk of change stashed away, but I don't think I want to go that nuts.

The other thing to consider is that I'm not sure if I could use all the functions of these new Pokemon games, my main concern being the Wi-Fi stuff. Of course I don't even know what Wi-Fi is. That's right, I'm probably the only person in my age group that doesn't know that, so go ahead and laugh if you want. My other concern is time, by which I mean I'm not sure if I have the time to play one of these new Pokemon games. I mean sure, I could spare two or three hours each day on it, plus a whole bunch of time on Sunday (because nothing usually happens on a Sunday). Still, these new games somehow seem a little more "involved" than the games of the past. So I'm not sure if I'd have the time to make the most of them. Of course there are other games out there too I guess.

So that's my dilemma. Should I get a DS or not? I would greatly appreciate any advice that the good people of TheO, i.e. all of you reading, could give. Although before anyone suggests that I just ask for a DS for Christmas, I should mention that I've already given my finished Christmas list and given it to my dad, so it's set in stone. But I guess I could still ask for a DS for my birthday, or just get one after a few months of working on a part-time job. So like I said, any advice would be appreciated, or you could all just ignore this post. It wouldn't be the first time that people had done that. Thanks for reading.
