Hello there. Welcome to my world of Random Thoughts. In this world I’ll be posting stuff about anime and manga. Not to mention various other topics. I may post the occasional music video every now and than. And from time to time, I’ll just talk about my life in general. But first, here are a few things about me.

I was born an only child, for one thing. Originally I was planning to go into art professionally, but recently I’ve been more inclined towards writing. I still do the occasional wallpaper every now and then though, and I also still draw a little. But much of my energy these days goes into writing fan fiction. I’ve also recently become interested in archive and library work, which is something I’ve discovered I’m good at. Finally, like most people on the Internet, I like cats.

Music For the Day

I've had this song going through my head today and I'd thought I'd share it.

Now that I hope I have everyone's attention, I need to ask those of your here on TheO with a fanfiction.net account something.

This afternoon I tried logging in to my account, but for some reason the login page wouldn't load. I mean I could get to other pages on the site but not the login page. My main browser kept saying, "the server where the page is located isn't responding," or something like that. I tried on my other computer and got the same message, and also tried a different browser. Again I got mostly the same message. So I'm thinking that it's a problem on fanfiction.net's end, but I would like to know if anybody else with an account there has had the same problem.

This is probably nothing, I'm mostly just venting because I finally finished a major chapter in one of my current stories and am just frustrated because I can't put it up. Still, I would like to know if anybody else has had this problem. Sorry if I've spammed anyone's backrooms with this.

That's what it stands for. It's the name of a movie made in the 1980s. Basically in the movie a bunch of homeless people living in the sewers of New York get exposed to radioactive waste and become mutants with a taste for human flesh. It's actually a really bad movie, but it's so bad it's funny. So if you're bored one afternoon, have a couple of hours to kill, and have access to a website that lets you watch movies online, check out this movie for a good laugh.

Forever Darkarax

Recently it seems like a lot of people here on TheO have been either changing their usernames and/or avatars. I guess I have no major objection to that. In fact some of the people who've changed their usernames have better names than before. Although it does get confusing for me if I'm not paying close enough attention. Anyway, this little trend of username changes has made me want to assure all of you that I will not now or ever change my username here on TheO. The main reason is because I've written my username on a few wallpapers, so I'm kinda stuck with it I guess. Since we're on the subject though, perhaps a few of you are wondering about the origin of my username. The name Darkarax is the name of a character I came up with several years ago, and that same character has been used for my avatar here on TheO (you know, the creature with the mask-like face and four red eyes).

Here's a sketch of the character

So the story of this character is that he's basically this attempt by an evil scientist to create the perfect warrior. But he became to powerful to control, rebelled against the scientist that created him, and became a powerful warlord. The inspiration behind this character was the villain known as Cell from Dragon Ball Z, specifically Cell's ability to evolve and absorb others. Of course I'm not at all like this character, but you're probably all asking why I used him for my username and avatar.

Well, when I decided to create an account here on TheO, I had to of course create a username. And I suddenly got the wild idea to use the name of one of my favorite creations. So my character of Darkarax has kind of become my alter ego here. So now you know the whole story about that.

So to review, I won't be changing my username. And since the avatar I have goes with that username, I won't be changing that either. Unless of course I decide to revamp the character's look a bit (and that thought did occur to me recently). Anyway, that's all I have to say on the matter.

~Your resident lord of shadows, Darkarax

Birthday 2012

So as many of you know, yesterday was my birthday. I'd like to thank everyone here at TheO who sent me a gift or signed my guestbook.

Anyway, it was a good day yesterday. The highlight was seeing the movie, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. I was actually surprised at how good the movie was. I was kinda expecting it to suck since the third Mission Impossible movie seemed to be kind of finale to the series. Plus I'm a little biased against Tom Cruise.

Anyway, yesterday went quite well, and today's not off to a bad start either. I just saw a rather amusing episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, and I now have 99 subscribers. So to celebrate that occurrence, here's the song 99 by Toto.
