Hello there. Welcome to my world of Random Thoughts. In this world I’ll be posting stuff about anime and manga. Not to mention various other topics. I may post the occasional music video every now and than. And from time to time, I’ll just talk about my life in general. But first, here are a few things about me.

I was born an only child, for one thing. Originally I was planning to go into art professionally, but recently I’ve been more inclined towards writing. I still do the occasional wallpaper every now and then though, and I also still draw a little. But much of my energy these days goes into writing fan fiction. I’ve also recently become interested in archive and library work, which is something I’ve discovered I’m good at. Finally, like most people on the Internet, I like cats.

That’s pretty much all you need to know about me. I'm not sure how often I'll post something here, but I'll try to as often as I can. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy visiting.

Where's Your Apocalypse Now?

As I begin the writing of this post, it is now 12:28 AM, meaning that the Mayan doomsday has come and gone. And as far as I can tell, the world is still intact. So once again it was just another false alarm. No nuclear holocaust or invading aliens. No cataclysmic earthquakes or floods. The plant is still orbiting the sun in its normal rotation. There have been no devastating solar flares or meteors impacting the earth. And of course there is no sign of any rogue planet hurling towards us like an oncoming semi.

So it's just like we all thought, the doomsday warning was bogus. And all the people that thought it was true need to get with it. Now I admit that it might be somewhat possible that the Mayans were right. I'm no expert, but the so-called "Nabiru" or "Planet X" could've come at us through a sudden undetectable wormhole and collided with our planet at an extremely high speed and killed us all before we even knew what had happened. But that possibility was extremely improbable. A zombie apocalypse was more likely.

But of course I'm sure there are people out there who still don't think it's over yet. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there saying things like, "Well, technically the world isn't supposed to end until after the twenty-first," or, "The world won't end until after New Years. The Mayans were just off by ten days." Look, the bottom line is that the deadline has come and gone. If the world was going to end, it would've ended yesterday. So to all those people who still might think the world will end, don't do anything stupid like quitting your job, selling your house, or leaving your family to go on any sort of binge. Because all that's going to happen is that you're going to look like an idiot.

Just felt like getting that off my chest. Goodnight everyone.

Apocalypse Christmas

Today is supposed to be when the world ends according to the Mayans. So in the very off chance they're right, here's an old Weird Al song I posted last year. Happy Holidays!
