Fiction and fandom
When did things get to this point?
Yeah, i mean it, how is possible that fictional characters became part of our lives and sometimes became an obsession?
As many out there i like Vocaloids, especially Miku Hatsune, but that doesn't change the fact that they aren't real, you can't touch them or feel them, they're voicebanks made for the program in question and not even real "characters".
Naturally, like many fans, i support the characters from my favourite shows and so on, like Miku as i said, sonic the headgehog, megaman, Sguid girl and many more. But here is the point, i like them but i don't treat them like they where real, an idea that seems spreading around the Internet.
Is it allarming? People falling in love with the character, so in love to even say "i'll kill you if..." which is totally insane! I mean it's not even real!
Then there's the "insert_character_here vs insert_real_person's_name_here" which is kind of stupid. For example i saw a video about Vocaloids and real singers (i know i'm talking too much about vocaloids but i know alot about such things so...).
The video compared the Vocaloids and the artist in question and asked "Who do you like most?...will vocaloid replace real singers?" such a stupid thing to hear. Vocaloids will never replace real singers, they lack something that we call heart that they will never have, something that makes a difference in a song, and making their voice more similar to that of a human being is totally WRONG if they will ever try to do that.
Asking "who do you like most?" it's stupid cause music is something personal, in my opinion, you can like that singer or not, it's your choice aaand it's kind of pointless asking that...especially in a Yutube video, which means that you will see everyone fighting for something not even worth the effort!
The point is that people fight for this kind of things and come out with idiotic ideas without meaning. Even those that are sane and "troll" this fanatics are kind of stupid, you won't obtain anything by opposing them or insulting their fandom, and they should open their eyes because they're making mistakes.

That's my opinion on the matter, it may be different from yours but that's how it is.
