Hi and Welcome!

This is just a world for me to post a bit about me and anything I find interesting.

About Me

Favorite Anime/Manga: Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, DuRaRaRa!!, Soul Eater, Hetalia, Code Geass, Death Note, Pokemon, Tsubasa, xxxHolic, Fruits Basket, Big Windup!, Eden of the East, Clannad, D. Gray-man, Blue Exorcist, Ouran High School Host Club, Black Butler, Kaichou wa Maid-Sama!, K-ON!, Bakuman, Cardcaptor Sakura

Favorite Video Games: I mostly play RPGs, my all time favorite is Kingdom Hearts (the whole series). I also like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Pokemon games :D, Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, some racing games and baseball or soccer games, Assassin's Creed

Music: I'll listen to anything as long as I like it. I usually listen to J-Rock, J-Pop, Alternative and Punk, Spanish Rock, Classical and some Pop...the list goes on...

Sports: I love baseball and soccer

And they ask why I don't trust anyone...

I just found out that apparently there has been a theft on our floor. (A laptop)

See people?! This is why:

1) I don't leave your door open/unlocked
2) I keep all my stuff either under lock and key if it's valuable
AND
3) I don't even leave my towel and toiletries in the bathroom with everyone else's.

Heck, I even double lock my bike to the bed when I leave it there for breaks. If they want the bike, well, I wish them luck trying to get the bed out of the door too.

Hmmm...where have I seen this idea play out?

Humans distinguish themselves from other animal species because they possess the power to communicate, cooperate and express themselves, resulting in the formation and strengthening of social bonds.

That's the opening of one of my paragraphs for my reading notes. Social bonds...social links...

First Midterm of Winter Quarter...

Oh the joy -__- Luckily the midterm's for Italian. I've done well in all the quizzes/pop and on the assignments, and I've reviewed extensively, so I feel pretty confident about it.

Next week, I have both my Global and Greek Myth midterms...Global's scaring me a bit.

*random side-note* My roommate hung her clothes all over the room again...it doesn't bother me, but it does make me wonder why she's not willing to spend the extra cents to get the clothes to dry completely. I mean, I know she has plenty of money...I guess that's how the rich stay rich. It would also explain why I'm almost always broke will spend any reasonable or slightly unreasonable amount of money for the sake of having to do less work later

*even more random side-note* some guy's jeans are in our bathroom. Why they're there, I have no idea. I don't know what bugs me more...the fact that they're there, or the fact that they haven't come back to get them O__o

There are also like 8 towels in a bathroom that only 5 people use. None are mine, so technically, 8 towels for 4 people keeps in room, doesn't trust anyone I get no room to put any of my stuff on when I shower because of this (and the infinite amount of bath products they keep in there doesn't help either)

Seriously?!

*rant* They place so much emphasis on being "charismatic" and "sociable" for jobs here on campus that it makes it tough for people like me who are not anti-social, but speak very little, and mostly only when it matters, to get a job.

Now I see that they value those other traits soooooo much that they're willing to overlook things such as, well for one, THE ABILITY TO SPEAK/WRITE PROPER ENGLISH/SPANISH! (I've actually been turned down from a translating job just because I wasn't "as friendly" as the other person, yet their Spanish was horrendous! What good will it do to be friendly if the person you're trying to help DOESN"T UNDERSTAND A WORD YOU'RE SAYING?!?!)I just read one of the presentations and the grammar was horrible! How do they allow this disgrace to be published on the campus-wide info network?! Was this just because they were friendlier than the person who was actually capable of doing the job correctly?

This is what I don't understand, not only about the campus work system, but also out there in society. Why do they deny capable people a job in favor of someone who is simply good at talking? It's a whole different situation if the person is both a silver-tongued speaker AND can prove their worth skill-wise. Then, by all means, hire that person, they're pretty much perfect.

Asdfghjkl, I don't get this world >.>

Sorry, about that, just had to get it out there...*rant over*

:o *shocked*

My mom asked if I had already submitted an application to study abroad.

This wasn't me dropping little hints that I want to go (of which she usually ends up brushing off angrily)

I probably won't be able to until next year, since I want to make sure I'm on track, with enough GEs out of the way and enough units completed. But, other than that, I'm so happy she actually sees how much I want to go now! She made me promise to apply for a program in Spain in addition to one to Italy. Of course I will! Spain's been on my list for like ever.

Speaking of Spain, I'm still obsessed with this Spaniard's voice <3

Same artist. This song has a more Andalusian rhythm to it.
