Field Trip

I get to miss most of my school day today.

My advanced drawing class is going to the Point Defiance zoo for most of the day, getting back in time to have a half-hour of our last period left.

We have to draw the animals, so here's to hoping 1. that it doesn't rain, and 2. that the animals stay still enough to draw. One of the boys in my class suggested that we look for a sloth or something.

I'm probably going to mess up horribly, but hey, who cares? I get to get out of school for hours.

And in the meantime, I'll be at a zoo. What's there to complain about?

. . .

Back to the randomness!

Yeah, haven't been able to get posts up lately cause I've been getting busy and distracted.*sigh* It's the one thing I hate about the end of the school year: TOO MUCH WORK. I mean, is the whole point to just see how much work they can push on us until we collapse?! I'm stressed out, and can't think about it or I never get to sleep at night.*sighs again*

Well, only about 10 school days left.

. . .

WAIT A MINUTE!!! I ONLY HAVE THAT MUCH TIME LEFT TO GET DONE?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(This has been a random little freak-out by me. Thank you for your time.)

A Little Awkward . . .

You know your life is weird when this happens . . . I'm in my second year of Spanish classes. My class walked down to a nearby Spanish restaurant for lunch today with the requirement that we speak Spanish as much as possible(It got us out of 3rd and 4th period; no one was complaining). But . . .

I've spent so much time having weird conversations during lunch, that sitting in the restaurant with my classmates(having a NORMAL conversation *gasp*), I felt SO out of place it isn't funny. O.o

This is just more proof that I am totally losing my mind, really. A friend of mine, when I told her I was losing it, said to blame the penguins. Something about penguins stealing people's sanity one by one(actually, I think that was on an e-card somewhere . . .).

. . . Yeah, you've already figured out just how badly my friends have lost it.

Prom

Can somebody please explain what the hell is the big deal about prom? Now, I'm just a sophomore, so maybe it's not such a big deal for me, but I hate the concept altogether. Imean, seriously, it just seems so stupid. (If I'm offending someone with this, screw it, I have a right to my opinion.)

See, prom for me is just putting on a dress(I hate wearing skirts and/or dresses) and uncomfortable shoes, neither of which I'll ever wear again(after spending too much money on them). Then I go into an over-crowded place full of people I don't know(when I'm terrible with crowds, and I can only stand them for five minutes tops while I'll have to stay at prom for at least a half hour), and probably playing music I don't like. I'd stand off to the side, feeling like a total idiot because I can't dance worth squat and I'm wearing the stupid dress and shoes.

In short, I can't stand stuff like this. It doesn't make sense to me that anyone likes it.

I feel like rambling for a little while.

I had a three day weekend this week. And you know what I did with it?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!

Of course, this is what I like about weekends. The fact that you have the choice to do nothing at all with yourself, and you can totally get away with it. I should be doing my history homework right now. Should. Am not. Probably won't until the last minute. XD Yay, procrastination!

But seriously, my mom did more this weekend than me. She and some of her old friends from college took a trip. STayed in a hotel for the weekend. Mom said that they all just wound up drinking wine and talking about anything and everything. Hey, what are old friends for?

Meanwhile, me, my brother, and my dad were left to our own devices. First day, dinner was pizza. Second day, Denny's. Third day, my dad left with my uncle for most of the day to cover his jeep with mud, and my mom was home by three. Then she made dinner, and my uncle stayed for it. Typical family meal, gathered around the TV, watching the only 'sport' I like.

Technically, it isn't a sport so much as a game show, but . . . *shrugs* Has anyone else ever seen 'Ninja Warrior' or 'Unbeatable Banzuke?' My family loves those two shows. They actually are really good.
