It's My Road Roller

Story:

It was enormous. It was Yellow. It was mine.

My brother walked up to me and dropped the keys in my hand. I couldn’t help but beam at him. I’d been begging for one for what seemed like years, and now I was the proud owner of my own. “Now,” my brother prompted, “you get it under one condition.”
“And what would that be?”
“I get to use it whenever I want too.”
“What!? Why?”
“Well, I did pay for it myself. Come on, you’re my sister.”
“Fine, you know I’d do anything for it. Shall we take it for a spin” And with a nod of his head we hopped aboard.

The view from the driver’s seat was amazing. I felt like I was the tallest person in the world. I must have been at least 5 feet above the ground. The pebbles on the ground looked like ants, and the ants looked like pin pricks. I was in total awe. My brother started giggling at me.
“What?” I asked.
“I’m glad you like it.”
“I’m glad I like it too, otherwise it would have been a huge waste of money.”
“Nah, it was cheap, in fact, it’s bound to fall apart at any moment.”
“Wah!?!”
“Hehe, just kidding.” He gently punched my arm and I couldn’t help but laugh. My brother had always been like that. Despite the fact we are siblings, we’ve always gotten along like best friends.

I put the keys in the ignition and turned them. A loud rumble rose from the engine as it booted up. “Just listen to that grunt” I said, not to any really. I shifted my foot up against the gas pedal and pushed down. The rumbling got louder as it started to crawl forward. It was slow, put it was powerful. After driving a couple of yards I stopped and jumped out.
“What are you doing?” my brother asked in confusion.
“Putting something in front of it so we can run it over.” I answered. That caused him to face palm, “What? That’s what it’s designed for.”
“I guess.” He sighed as a put a tree branch in front of us, and then climbed back into the vehicle.

Once again, I put the pedal to the metal. It made its way closer and closer to the branch, and with every inch we moved, the adrenaline in my body rose. Finally we ran over the branch. The cracking noise it made as we crushed it to bits sent shivers down my spine. “I bet we could crush anything with this monster!” I shouted in excitement. “What should we run over next?”
“How about that old clock that never stops beeping?”
“Good idea. You get it.”
Whilst he went to grab the clock I fiddled around with all the knobs and switches. It was so much fun. I tried driving in reverse. It was hard to see out of the small rear view mirror, but it would do. I tried doing a burn out but it was just so slow that I got nowhere. My brother came out holding the clock, which of course was beeping, and placed it down in front of my beloved gift. I didn’t evern give him the chance to get back in before I had run it down. As I went over it the beeping became slower and deeper until it was flattened into a metal pancake.

“We could run down the whole town with this! We could be the Queen and King of the street!” I exclaimed.
“I think you’re getting a bit ahead of yourself.”
“Pish posh, we could ask anyone for whatever we want, and if we don’t get it we can just smash up their house, or even their own body. I laughed an evil laugh, and my brother just sighed. He knew I was joking but played along anyway.

After a final lap of the block we decided to call it a day. It had been a day filled with great fun. We crushed many things on our little trip, a tin can, some acorns, even a discarded video tape. This was the best thing my brother had ever done for me, and I would keep my present for the rest of my life, crushing all those in my way.
