About Kagamure

So it's been a while since Kagamure was updated. It's been almost two months since I started working on the current issue, and I'm still not finished with it. It's, well, a mess. I'm not sure I'm going to finish it at all. I hate to say it, but this might be where this version of Kagamure ends.
I'm not quitting the comic, don't get me wrong. I had always intended to make multiple versions of this story. See, I had written six or seven outlines for stories a few years back and wasn't happy with any of them. I decided the best thing to do was to go ahead and make a comic without any sort of outline or script. That's when I started current version of Kagamure. I have never had a plan for where the story was going. I don't make scripts for individual issues beforehand, I just script it as I go. For a while, I wasn't even doing that. I was literally making up the story as I drew it. When I wasn't sure how to wrap up an issue, I would throw in a cliffhanger. What ended up happening is the story is a disorganized mess of plot elements that went nowhere and characters with hazy motivations and hazier relationships to each other.
I wanted to at least finish one story arc with this version of the story, but I don't now if I can do that, because this story arc makes no freaking sense. I hate to bail on my comic, but it might be time to start fresh. I'm sorry. I feel like a quitter, but I think this is the right call. I've learned a lot from the past year of making Kagamure. I really appreciate all the feedback and encouragement that you all have given me over the past year. Thank you all so much. I don't mean to be corny, but I really couldn't have done it without you.
So! What's next? Well, I'm going to sit down and start working on the next iteration of the story. I'm going to outline the plot, then begin working on scripts. I'm going to take time to make sure I really know where I'm going with the story. I did a lot of the old comic while I was still in school (like literally in school, most of the first issue was drawn in math class), but now that I'm out of school I can really focus on my art and the comic.
Thank you again! Kagamure will be back soon.
