Enjoy your stay! And remember, "Every Cloud has a Silver Lining!" ^_^ BE POSITIVE!

cuteness prevails.

Hello all. :3 I'm a pretty bad mod here, aren't I? I have yet to even post here on the MAC! And I'm half-responsible for the namesake. :O *fails* Anyhoo, how are all of you?? I'm here to share with you something that really perks me up no matter what! I don't know about you guys, but cute animals...they do the trick. ^^; Especially dogs. I'm a sucker for dogs. I just can't help it. It doesn't matter where or when or anything; when I see a dog, I smile. For some, it might be cats. Woof-woof, meow-meow. Or maybe you like ferrets, birds, fish, hamsters, pigs, anything! Well, whatever creature you find to make you go "awwwww", I suggest finding adorable pictures of them whenever you're down. Or heck, if you have one as a pet, seek them out and hug them!

Unfortunately my dog Totoro is a jerk to me and hates it when I pet/hug him...so he's a no-go for me. ^^;; No dice. I wish he loved me. *sigh* But anyhoo, that's why even if I find images online, they make me cheer up a bit. Here are a couple of sites where you can find the cutest pics of cuddlies:

♥ Daily Pets (look on the side and you'll see links to other animals)
♥ The Land of Awwws (mostly kitties, but there are dogs, too)

Those are just two, but I'm sure you can find many elsewhere. :3 Enjoy~ *hugs* I hope your days become bright with cuteness!!!

Writing as an Outlet and a Lifesaver

Hey there, its Sessh's first post here; so be nice please!

So, writing. Some people hear the word "writing" and think "OH no! Five page essay! Duck and cover!"

The writing I'm talking about, m'dears, is poetry. Yeah, here comes the chorus of "I can't write poetry." or "Poetry is for pansies."

What is your definition of poetry exactly? If your definition has the phrase "Has to rhyme" within it, you're wrong! Ever heard of Free Verse? Poetry is quite easy to write really, once you free your mind.

Simple. Take a piece of paper. Pen/pencil. And write. And write from the bottom of your soul, from your heart. Write everythig that you're feeling; everything you want, you desire, you hate, you love. And it makes art.

When I was young, I had somniphobia, fear of sleeping. I had night terrors that would scare the living daylights out of me, every single night. They quite literally, drove me insane. I almost did away with myself, I was so scared.

Until. A-ha. I saw a shining piece of paper. I started writing. And never stopped.

Poetry is an expression of feelings. What do you feel?

Instead of answering me,
write it down,
and turn it into something.

Music ^^

Hello ^^ This is chibi-anna-chan here for my first guest post. My first guest post ever, come to think of it *smiles*

I have been having a think of things to add to this world and at the moment I feel like showing some youtube videos I have found *grins* The first one is a song that I think goes well with the theme of this world, it is 'Feeling Good' by Nina Simone. I'm sure many of you have heard it ^^ but for those who haven't yet had that pleasure - here it is!

I don't like embedding videos into peoples worlds as sometimes I find that it makes loading the comment box tricky... So I hope you will use the link ^^

The seccond video is this one Adiemus by Karl Jenkins. I have the album and I simply ADORE it, I find it really uplifting and beautiful. Apparently, according to Wikipedia :

"There are no lyrics as such: instead the vocalists sing syllables and 'words' invented by Jenkins. The core concept of Adiemus is that the voice should be allowed to function as nothing more than an instrument, an approach that has become something of a trend in recent choral writing. The word Adiemus itself resembles a Latin word meaning 'We will draw near', though incorrectly formed; Jenkins claims to have been unaware of this"

The above link leads to a video using the Adiemus song with some beautiful nature photos, but I primarily chose the vid because of the music ^^ I hope you enjoy listening to the music *smiles*

Take care everyone! *offers cake to all*

[I hope this works, my internet is being daft yet AGAIN!]
