Name: Ryota “Ryo” Trigger
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Pokemon: Roserade
Ability: Natural Cure, Poison Point
Nature: Naughty
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 210 lbs
Build: Muscular and very fit
Birthday: 15 February 1991
Appearance: Well here is a picture. (Here is a full body reference but the face tattoo and vest color is off oops) His skin is 7A on this chart. His hair is mostly white, save for the shaved undercut bit on the left side which is bright green, and … well just look at the picture because I can’t describe this weirdness that is his hairstyle ORZ. His eyes are narrow, slanted, and red, and beneath them, he has two tattoos, one on each cheek. His right has a red design while his left has a blue design. A scar cuts through his left eyebrow, and his back holds more scars than he can count. He has several piercings: left cartilage and right rook, septum, lip, tongue, clavicle and hips. He wears a white wifebeater beneath a green suede vest. Sometimes he ditches the tank top and leaves the vest unbuttoned. His pants are very dark green and form-fitting. He wears a white belt and short gold boots. A gold choker necklace sits on his throat, and he wears three golden bangles on his right wrist. He also wears short pale green gloves, half to prevent dirt getting under his fingernails, half to hide his fully-functional left hand, which is bionic (and inspired by an old Victorian prosthetic.)
Hometown: Lumiose City
Personality: Deliberate and cold. He’s a manipulative bastard and he knows it. He is a huge flirt, and he finds it great fun to toy with other’s emotions. But when it comes down to it, he is a great friend to have. He’s a good motivator, and though he may seem rude, he normally has his friends’ interests at heart. However, he doesn’t easily get along with others, so forming a friendship with him is a challenge. He is a very good listener, though, and as he’s had some experience, he offers decent advice. Once a connection is made, it’s almost a guarantee they’ll be friends for life. He’ll defend those he’s fond of with his life, and he will not allow any harm to befall a child. But if a stranger is in danger for no discernable reason, he will decide they are weak and let nature run its course, only if there are others around. Because of what he's experienced, if he is the only witness, he will drop everything to help. Whenever someone is in danger and only Ryota can save them, he is reminded of Kise (see "History"), and feels obligated to help as if to right his wrongs and make up for his past. He also refuses to accept gratitude. He’s a complex individual who has more negative traits than good, but given his history, he could have been much worse.
History: Born in a bustling city, Ryota experienced a daily adrenaline rush as he navigated the alleys and dangerous blocks. His father had been a relatively low-key drug dealer, and his mother, who died when he was three, used to sing in a jazz band at a local bar. Because of this, Ryota acquired a particular fondness for the art of singing and jazz, and it’s the only thing that can calm him down if he’s feeling upset or bloodthirsty. Ryota was exposed to alcohol when he was 13, as his father let him drink with him, and he’s had a mildly-manageable addiction ever since. His father, when drunk, became violent, so Ryota taught himself how to fight so as to defend himself. When his father was arrested a year later, Ryota had no one to turn, and as a last resort, he sought refuge with a populous gang, the Freak Show. Composed mainly of runaways and orphans, this gang was run by a young man named Balder who sought to exploit the hopeless children and make a profit. While in the Freak Show, Ryota was forced to have symbols tattooed on his face, so as to identify him as Balder’s property. The tattoos symbolized his “new name,” which was given to him by Balder. “Blood Ice,” Balder affectionate called him, as he was terribly desensitized and unphased by violence, and the phrase sounded like "Blood Eyes," which Balder thought was clever considering Ryota's eyes were red. Ryota was relatively content in the Freak Show, and he befriended a scrawny young gijinka, Kise the Kingdra. He spent a total of five years in the Freak Show. But during a raid, Kise was killed before Ryota, and having snapped out of his delusion, he fled, turning in Balder in the process. Ryota then stowed away on a small fishing boat that landed on the island, and after seeing the lush field of flowers at the edge of the town, he decided he would stay, disregard his mistakes, and care for the flowers.
Job: Gardener/Florist
Likes: Flowers, peaceful scenarios, hot tea, baked goods, good singers, singing when he’s alone, jazz, children, movies of all kinds, his piercings, painting (a secret hobby)
Dislikes: People who carelessly traipse through his garden, weak individuals, abusive individuals, talking about his past, modern art, loud drunks
Fun Facts: He is ambidextrous and very good with his hands. He identifies as grey-romantic (as he’s only once experienced romantic attraction) pansexual. He is pretty cold-hearted, but he has a serious soft spot for flowers and playgrounds. He’s also a fan of eyeliner and occasionally lipstick in pink or black. Also, he likes to dress up for no reason, so he may show up to a diner in formal attire with no explanation. He has a very limited sense of humor, and many things go over his head. He occasionally suffers from insomnia and chronic nightmares. When sleepy, he will talk openly about any topic presented. The same goes for when he’s drunk (which is typically only on the weekends). Despite his cold facade, he is easily flustered, and his cheeks will turn red as hell when he gets embarrassed. He will try to deny this ("I have a fever", "It's your imagination", "It's... pollen... from an exotic breed...") but it's honestly futile.
