Chess Battle

This is a story based of a dream I had once. Its not about Poke’mon like my usual stories but I hope its still good. I hope it doesn’t sound too self sintered. Remember, everyone in this story is either a teacher or part of the gym class.

I got ready for gym class in the locker rooms like always and headed out to the gym. The teacher said, "Ok class, today we are playing our usual game. Chess. Everyone get ready."
You may be asking how chess is a gym sport. Well, watch and see.
"We have had some complaints lately about not remembering how to play so ill explain it again." said the teacher with a role of her eyes, knowing that they only ask to postpone the game.
"In order to play chess, you need a wooden sword. Each player will have a rank depending on how good they are at sword play. The ranks are just like the board game of chess. King is weakest but is the most important and stays behind to be protected, Queen is the strongest, Knight is just under the Queen, Rook is just a bit weaker then the Knight, and Pawn is the weakest rank. When you are in your proper order of play, you will run to the opponents side of the field and try to take out one of their peaces. Its a one on one battle at a time. If you drop your sword you are out. If the opponent drops their sword they are out. The team that wins the coin toss gets to be on the bleachers for playing the first game which makes it harder for the opposing team to get to them. Whoever wins the first game gets the bleachers for the second game. Now are we ready to play?" asked the gym teacher after she finished explaining.
"Yah, were ready. But why is Daniel always one of the Queens?" asked Mary with a whine and a evil glare at Daniel.
"Because she is the strongest in class at sword play. If you can beat her you can be your teams queen Mary." said the teacher with a look that meant 'If you cant beat her, don’t complain.' Daniel swung her wooden sword in a baton like circle beside her and grinned meanly.
"No thanks. Ill do without the bruises." said Mary as she went to get her wooden sword.
"So who is the King today?" asked Daniel with a snarl and a laugh. "Is it you again Derek?" she asked with a laugh as she looked at me. "After all, you have been King every game all year."
"No! Not me again!" I said with a mad look. "I’m a pawn this time. Someone else can be King." I said.
"Ill do it. I don’t want to go and fight again. Its too tiresome." said Brandy.
"OK, King." said Daniel with a laugh.
"Yay! I finally get to go sword play!" I said as I ran to the group of Pawns. The teacher tossed a coin and we lost so we got the ground side. I ran to the front lines with the rest of the Pawns as Brandy and Daniel went to the back.
"Ready, set, go!" shouted our gym teacher as we charged the enemy side. I ran up to another pawn and actually won the spar. Next I ran at a Knight on accident.
"No Derek! That’s a knight!" shouted Sianna from the other side of the board.
I still went at her. Sadly, she thought I was heavier then I really was and hit my sword with her full force. I was thrown up 8 feet into the air and nearly hit my head on the gym ceiling but didn’t. Then I dropped my sword mid air and fell to the ground on the other side of the gym. Everyone looked back to see if I was still in one piece, expecting that fall to hurt me. I stood up without a scratch or bruise on me and brushed myself off, to their surprise. I ran up to the gym teacher and asked, "Am I still in?"
"No." she said not seaming to care about what just happened. I went and sat to the side as the first person out. My team won the match in the end since Daniel was such a good sword fighter. No one paid much attention to my incident. Probably since I was so strange that they never thought I was normal to begin with.
