Pokemon Film Series Reboot?

Hi everyone. So I was just visiting the Anime News Network website and discovered a rather interesting story. You know how every July, the Pokemon anime seems to do a new movie? Well, it seems that for July of 2017, the producers of the anime are going to be doing something a little bit different. In fact... I'm wondering if perhaps the Pokemon movies are going to be totally rebooted. There's a thirty-second trailer for the movie out right now that doesn't reveal much, but the film does look quite a bit different from the current Sun and Moon anime, which just looks... awful in regards to the designs for the human characters. Anyway, this trailer for the new movie can be seen below. Take a look.

A poster for the movie has also been revealed online. The poster show a picture of Pikachu and a trainer who could very well be Ash (or maybe even Red) watching Ho-Oh as it flies off into the sunset. So it kind of looks like they're going to be doing a movie version of the very first episode in the Pokemon anime. I'm actually hoping that this means that from this point on, the movies will follow a different continuity from the main anime series and will actually be something as good or better than the first three movies. Of course I'm not getting my hopes up too high, because I have been burned before. Anyone remember Pokemon: Origins and how much of a disappointment that ended up being?

Anyway, just thought I'd share this little piece of information. Until next time.

EDIT: Remember how I said that there's a poster for this movie showing an image of Ash and Pikachu watching as Ho-Oh flew off towards the sunset? Well, the serebi.net Advent Calendar page gave out a wallpaper version of that poster this morning, so I thought I'd go ahead and display it here to show how epic it is. Take a look.

Pretty stunning, right? Plus in the image, we can see that a feather that could be the Rainbow Wing item from the games is fluttering down from the sky. I really do have high hopes for this movie.
