Just a few minutes ago xXShady WolfXx informed me of this little video that attempts to go into a few more details of the next generation games. So I thought I'd post it here to get the word out. Now before I go on, I want to make it clear that a lot of the stuff in this video is theoretical and hasn't been confirmed yet. There seems a good chance that a lot of these theories are going to be accurate, but don't get your hopes up.
So there was a lot to absorb in that video, wasn't there? One thing's for sure though, the game mechanics seem to have been given a major overhaul. Game mechanics aside though, there are a couple things in that video that stuck out to me. Specifically the two possible meanings behind the titles of the games, X and Y. They could represent the X and Y axis. That would seem appropriate considering that the games have gone totally 3D. But then there was the part of the video that showed the original Japanese logos for the games, and how they both seemed to have DNA strands included in them. This sort of goes towards my earlier thought that genetics might be the theme of these games, which was also of course mentioned in the video.
But again, nothing is really certain at the moment. October is still a good ways off, but I'm sure that more will be revealed over the course of the coming months. So stay tuned.
