Zankyou no Terror

In an alternate version of the present, Tokyo has been decimated by a shocking terrorist attack, and the only hint to the identity of the culprit is a bizarre video uploaded to the internet. The police, baffled by this cryptic clue, are powerless to stop the paranoia spreading across the population.

While the world searches for a criminal mastermind to blame for this tragedy, two mysterious children—children who shouldn't even exist—masterfully carry out their heinous plan. Cursed to walk through this world with the names Nine and Twelve, the two combine to form "Sphinx," a clandestine entity determine to wake the people from their slumber—and pull the trigger on this world.

Shinichiro Watanabe strikes again! It's a very short anime (11 episodes), so it's hard to say something without spoiling (but making a review with only "watch it" isn't very interesting now, is it?). Let's try to give some points according to different criteria.
The story starts really well, I admit that I was hooked right away. I wanted to know how they were going to do their attacks as much as why they were doing it. Every sides of the story makes you curious. It's a personal opinion, but I think a longer season would have given us more of everything but 11 episodes also gives a fast rythm that is really fitting here. The characters are all different and subtle in their own way. Again, twice the number of episodes would have allowed more character development but that's maybe just because I wanted to see more of everyone. The animation is nice, not the best one ever, but quite lovely and you could say that it's enough to carry the storytelling well. The sound is on the other hand really amazing, the opening and ending are both great but the OST in general is awesome. Another way to carry the story and make it even more enjoyable than it already is.

The last but not least, the enjoyment! Well, obviously, since I'm posting about it, I liked it. I'm giving it a 9/10. As awesome as it was, you can see that I'm regretting its length, it deserved to be longer and, after talking about it with some friends, it's a shared feeling.
