Featured: Shupple, Xio, Kale (Krory’s brother), Kiki, Chandacy, and mention of Nyarth and Tanner and of course, the girls in the locker room~~~!!! xDDD
Time: Right after and before Krory stormed out of the locker room and just before it. Also right before Tanner goes on a walk with Estelle and the next morning when Krory goes out to train Nyarth.

Shupple
“Tsk... trash... acting tough... had no fucking bite...”
I looked up at Xio as I grabbed my tarot cards off of the ground and rubbed my neck. I had no idea what was wrong with Tanner. I mean honestly, what right did he have, telling me to change my ways? I was right every single time with the tarot cards. After finally getting my Foresight down in the past, I was able to use my Foresight slightly on my tarot cards and it became correct every time.
“Xio... What just went on? You normally wouldn’t stand up for me... or anyone for that matter,” I stated as I stood up and sat down on my bed. He looked over me slightly and sighed.
“I didn’t do it for you...” He stated and I raised my eyebrows as I shuffled my tarot cards in my hand. I haven’t read somebody else’s cards in a while... I wonder what Xio’s would be like...
“Then who?” I asked, my eyes slightly narrowed and Xio scoffed.
“You are still dense even after all of my training...” Xio said as he sat down on my bed beside me and laid back, the bed shifting under his weight and most of my blankets falling off. Thanks Xio. “I did it for myself... can’t let my students bullied on MY watch... such a pain the ass...” I rolled my eyes and he continued to lay on my bed with his eyes closed. Since he was a cat, he probably found it comfortable... Which is disturbing to think.
“Hmph, alright... You wouldn’t care for a tarot card reading, would you?” I asked him and one eye opened and looked at me.
“Flatter me...” He sighed as he opened his other eye and sat up with a small groan, folded his legs under him and turned to me.
“Pick five cards and then lay them out on the bed,” I told him, scooting back slightly as Xio picked five cards with a sigh.
“Alright...” He said as he laid them out on his leg, relaxed and looked right up at the ceiling, waiting. I scooted up to him and flipped each one over. I took a deep breath and used Foresight on each one. One showed the word Death with a Gijinka getting fried by lightning. The next one showing Sex, which seemed to be almost obvious with Xio, one showing Secretive, the fourth one showing Rich, and the last one being a black void.
“Each shows what will happen in the future or what is to happen soon... Death, meaning that you’re constantly involved in it and it will happen around, possibly in the war and it could possibly mean your own death, just not specifically in the war. Sex obviously speaks for itself in your case.” Xio smirked at that comment. “The black void... It’s another form of forthcoming, something unknown and it’s never been pulled before by anyone so you’re the first one to pull it. It simply means that your future can’t be predicted fully because there’s something surrounding you, an evil you can’t control even though you wish to. Bloodlust will take over and and that’s all you will ever see... Secretive just says you hold many secrets that will slowly come out eventually without intention. However... the Rich card puzzles me.. I’m guessing you have a rich background and you’re used to that, so something involving with how much you are rich will come to light...” Touching the card, I used a bit more of my Foresight on it, seeing Xio around money, and him being a kid and his parents and a girl as well. “Xio...” I started as I got out of my Foresight, my eyes stopping the slight glow that was coming off them when I used Foresight, and looked directly into Xio’s eyes. “Were you a prince?” I asked him and I got no reply and no show of emotion from his face. I knew from that statement that it was true. He was a prince. I smirked.
“You were, weren’t you? I’m not going to criticize you on it. I don’t see why it makes such a big difference about you...” I left off and he just stared. I really didn’t see how it would make any difference.
“Actually... you’d be wrong...”Xio sat up and adjusted his jacket. “You’d be right on everything else but the prince thing... Guess it was a matter of time for you to be wrong...” I sighed. He really didn’t get it, did he? Or was he really just trying to deny it all?
“Xio...One thing you you don’t know about me is that I have Foresight... It gives me insight to these cards and people’s future without actually using the ability... I have always been correct, because no matter how many times I shuffle these cards-” I pulled the cards off Xio’s leg and putt them back in the deck, shuffled them, and laid the top five on the bed. “-they always come out the same.” I looked down and they did and all Xio did was glare at me. “I can keep a secret, Xio...” Honestly, it wasn’t that hard.
“Do I honestly look like the princely type to you? Obviously we both know that Lux would be more befitting to that category than myself...” Xio scoffed and I sighed with a smirk.
“Actually yes, you do, but only by the way you cat though... And Lux is the way he is, and if I remember right, he’s extremely smart. I’ve also seen his parents when he committed suicide and the way he acted towards them. He may act it, but it doesn’t show.” All Xio did was stare at me with narrowed eyes. I knew he wasn’t liking this.
“You act like a prince, Xio, always getting your way. Lux, he does obviously seem more like the princely type... He’s not used to getting his way all the time. i just don’t see it truly in him like I see it in you,” and I flinched when he swiftly kicked moved his foot right next to my head.
“Again... you... are... wrong...” Xio growled and I just blinked.
“Whatever you say, Xio... I know that I’m right,’ I told him as he brought his leg back down to his side and got up from my bed, shaking out his hair.
“Then I guess you are my loyal subject, am I right there, my dear servant?” Xio asked as he looked at me calmly and I just laughed a little as I slid off the bed and put my tarot cards on my desk. I looked at Xio with a smile.
“In a technical sense, Prince. Not completely,” I smirked. “I’ll keep it a secret, trust me... And I know if I tell, I’ll be killed. It’s simple enough,” I chuckled and Xio’s tail wagged, which was a little odd to see along with his smile.
“I don’t really care what you think, damn woman. I merely am just your tutor... nothing more... think what you like,” He said with a smirk as he left my room, closing the door behind him with his tail and leaving me be.
I had to admit, I freaked out there for a second with him being in here, but I calmed down. I guess I had gotten so used to him over the past few months, it didn’t make much of a difference. I looked down at my tarot cards and shuffled them and used Foresight on the five I drew for myself and turned them over on my desk. I stared at these and just hoped I was wrong for once.
I had Heartbreak, Betrayal, Death, Friendship, and Renewal. I drew the cards again and again as I shuffled them and put down five again and again. Still the same thing. I stared at the Heartbreak, which was a heart broken in half. It couldn’t be true... The last time I drew this was when I was with... Mear...
I shook my head. I hoped the universe was wrong. I hoped my Foresight was wrong. The other one I stared at mostly was the Friendship one. It showed a man and a woman, hugging each other closely and it looked like they were about to kiss, but this was labeled Friendship, not the Lovers. Odd.
I sighed and threw my cards into my desk. I really didn’t want to see them anymore. That’s when something glinted into my eye and I winced. I moved my hand toward the object on my desk and saw Lux’s lightning bolt pendant. I smiled and grabbed an empty chain of the rack of my necklaces and put the pendant on it and slipped it around my neck. I smiled. I sure did miss Lux and Arc...
I sighed and walked out the door, the bottom of my back near my tailbone itching. The only reason why it would do that is if my tattoo of a Banette’s bell tail was irritated and there were Banettes nearby. More lost souls... I sighed. I could only feel their pain as well.
I left my room, closing the door behind me and headed outside to train with Chandacy. We had decided to train with each other today. We both wanted to test out our new powers and I especially wanted to test out my Double Team. I had finally gotten it down after privately training with Krory, which reminded me that Krory wanted me to meet her later about using my Foresight in battle. I guess in ways that could help but I couldn’t see at the moment.
Heading outside after meeting up with Chandacy, we trained for a few hours, I getting the hang of my Double Team better and Chandacy using her Fire moves on me really well. It seemed all of the girls were out training today. I even saw our old leader, Lupe, training with Haxila to see if she could get into her team and then even Estelle, her seeming in a good mood. I wonder if she had seen Tanner yet... In fact, speak of the devil, I saw her rush into the mansion and then rush out with Tanner, they then going for a walk. I saw them constantly talking as I fought Chandacy and got hit a few times. I was fine though, Chandacy being worried that I burned her and I shook my head.
We all headed down to the locker rooms underneath the mansion after finishing up and there was this whole thing Krory entering and then almost passing out. She really didn’t like undressing in front of other girls, even with the comment I made to her. It was odd really, but I dismissed it. She was blushing like crazy though and I had a weird feeling that she could be a lesbian. Who knows?
After Mist helped her out of the locker room, we all eventually calmed down and started to get dressed. Estelle had come down in the middle of Krory’s freaking out and seemed in a good mood, but she was hiding something. Probably something with Tanner.
“What are these scars from Shupple? They’re really big.” I turned around and saw Kiki behind me, looking at my scars. They seemed to almost scare her.
“Didn’t know you had a tattoo either,” Chandacy said as she joined Mist and I chuckled slightly as I slid on my skirt.
“Not a lot of people know about the tattoo. It is almost on my ass you know,” I laughed and Chandacy and Kiki laughed.
“The scars are from claws my old rival Shift gave me two years ago. I was fighting him and he raked his claws down my back. I did kill him though with the injuries I gave him,” I shrugged and Kiki gasped.
“Are you not bothered by killing, Shupple?” She asked and I blinked for a second and I shook my head.
“Not really. If I have to do it, I’ll do it. If it’s to keeping my friends alive, then yes, I’ll protect them and kill people for it,” I said and she hesitated a few seconds before nodding. It seemed she was bothered by killing. Well, that won’t do well in the war against the Water Gods, I’ll say that...
Chandacy and Kiki left me alone after that and I put on the rest of my clothes. It was getting close to dinner and honestly, I just wanted to go back to sleep so I ate dinner quickly, chatted with people and headed to bed. I couldn’t believe how fast I fell asleep.
.:The Next Morning:.
I woke up to quiet. It was nice, to not hearing any fighting or training today, or Xio busting down my door. It was probably about noon and I heard nothing going on. It was nice. I slid out of bed and stretched before getting on my clothes and Lux’s pendant necklace. I should ask Krory when I was going to start training with her about my Foresight and ask her how she was doing from yesterday with the incident in the girl’s locker room.
I headed out to her room and saw that her door was still closed. There was a note on it saying she was out, but I could sense everybody in the house, or at least nearby in the town. Maybe she went to town or something or was out near the mountains... I shrugged and tried Krory’s door. I was surprised that it was open.
I sneaked inside and saw photographs next to her bed. It was seemingly, the one thing that kind of interested me in her room. Otherwise, it was pretty much military styled. I walked over to her photos and saw a picture of her and another Sandile that seemed to be... a twin. I had no idea that Krory had a brother, let alone a twin. They were smiling in the picture and the other Sandile seemed to be giving Krory a noogie. I couldn’t help but smile a little. It was cute. Right beside the photo was a letter, addressed to a man named Kale. It was written in Krory’s handwriting that was for sure. Was Kale her brother? It made me curious, really.
Obviously, I didn’t want to get caught by any of the leaders for being in Krory’s room so I quickly exited and closed the door quietly behind me. I could hear Xio and Nyarth downstairs though, talking about how they were about to go out for some training. I shrugged and headed downstairs after I heard them leave. I headed out of the mansion and into town and once I got there, I saw somebody at one of the vendor’s that normally stood outside. He looked very similar to Krory.
He was about Krory’s height and seemed to have the same build as she did. He had literal bubblegum pink hair that was somewhat spiked in the back but his bangs covered a bit of his eyes. He had a black leather jacket on as well with black pants. He had a tan shirt underneath, along with a tan scarf covering his neck. His tail was just as long as Krory’s and he had only tan, suede shoes. Was this Kale?
“Excuse me... you wouldn't happen to see another Krokorok Gijinka around here, would you? She's a friend of mine and I'm needing to talk to her,” I asked him as I walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around, having a shocked face upon him but it quickly diminished down to a warm smile. He had really warm eyes... I relaxed almost immediately.
“Umm......No I haven't my sincerest apologies...” His voice was rich and low, making me smile as I talked to him. He looked down at his feet as he stood in front of me. Great... I really needed to find Krory...
“Dammit... It's odd, you look a lot like her... You wouldn't happen to be Kale, would you?” I asked him and he chuckled as he turned fully towards me, paying for the last thing he was looking at.
“That I am, did she tell you about me?” Kale asked and I smiled. He did look exactly like Krory... minus the hair of course.
“Krory, you mean?” I shook my head with a smile. “No, she didn't. I saw a picture of you and her when you two were children when I was looking for her in her room at the mansion... What are you doing in town, Kale?” He ignored my question and shifted his feet. He looked at me curiously.
“A tad nosey aren't you? Then how would you know my name?” He asked me and I couldn’t help but giggle. What was with me? I hadn’t acted this way around another guy since Arc was at the mansion... Arc... Lux...
“Pleasure to meet you Miss... I don't think I got your name since you know all about me,” Kale said as he held his hand out and I shook it.
“It’s Shupple. I’m a Banette,” I said with a smile. He lifted my hand instead of shaking it back and I blushed as he kissed it.
“You certainly are beautiful.” I am so not used to getting compliments anymore... or actual attention from guys that weren’t Xio and trying to get my ass in gear for training.
“Thank you... It’s not common that I get compliments from people I hardly know,” I smiled as a blush rose on my cheeks and Kale chuckled.
“Oh, and here I thought you knew that about me,” Kale said with a smile and picked up his bag that he had put down once he had seen me.
“Did you come to town to see Krory, Kale?” I asked him as I chuckled a little bit from his comment and Kale cleared his throat as I shivered slightly from the cold. It seemed like it was about to snow.
“I suppose... you can say that... Krory is busy from what I know of and asked me to bring her a few things... I am rather busy but I wouldn’t miss a chance to see my dearest sister or at the very least help her,” Kale said with a smile and I smiled back. He was a really nice brother, I had to say. I could tell he really loved Krory.
“Would you like to head to the mansion back where we are all staying? She could be there even though I didn’t see her,” I told Kale and he shrugged.
“Well, didn’t you say you were looking for her, when Krory disappears, you won’t find her for a while. She’s always been like that...” He paused for a moment, getting lost in his thoughts. “...so it’s very likely I won’t see her.” That’s when he looked around and noticed that nobody else was around. “You know what, how about about we get a bite ta eat? Would you like to?” Kale asked and I blushed. I hadn’t been asked somewhere in a long time...
I couldn’t help but notice how handsome Kale really was when I agreed to go with him. His pink, bubblegum hair was what was really interesting but I couldn’t help but want to run my hands through it. He was really muscular and one thing I couldn’t help but like was he wasn’t afraid to ask what was on his mind. It was... nice.
“Grand! What do you like?” Kale asked as he held out his arm and I took and we started walking. I shrugged.
“Anything, really. I don’t have a preference,” I told him and he boldly smiled.
“Steakhouse it is then!” And then lead me to a steakhouse not far off. I had to admit, being this close to a guy was weird for me. I had gotten so used to be alone lately... It was weird being with somebody different. It was nice for a change.
Once we got inside the steakhouse, hurrying because the wind was picking up, we got seated since it was pretty much empty and ordered our meals. Kale said he would pay so I let him. Once our meals got to us, Kale started to talk.
“Now, tell me, how do you like Krory? What do you think of my dear sister? She’s grand, is she not?” Kale said with a boasting smile as he cut into his sirloin steak. I smiled as I picked up a rib from my platter and started to strip the meat off it with my mouth.
“Krory’s pretty cool in a lot of ways. She’s strong, intelligent, and really helpful and a lot of people kind of consider her the leader of the mansion, since she’s training everybody. The only thing people don’t like is her restriction on sugar,” I told him bluntly and he just blinked as he stared at the rib I was eating.
“You sure eat very... how do I say it... vulgar... You got a little there...” Kale said as he pointed out a smudge of steak sauce on my face. I smiled. I seriously had missed eating meat.
“Oh, thanks.” I grabbed my napkin once I put the rib down and wiped my face. “Sorry, I haven’t gotten to eat meat a lot, so it’s nice to have some after awhile.” Kale rested his chin on his open hand, putting down his knife, and smiles softly.
“She is tough but it’s best for your sake, for the battle that’s to come. I’m sure she has your best interest in mind; she cares very deeply for her companions. Military junkies, I reckon, are that way. It’s natural,” He shrugged.
“Really? Alright then, you do know her better than I do,” I said with a smile as I picked up my rib and took another chunk out of it, finishing it off. I went on to the next one. “I just miss the mochi I used to be able to eat. It reminded me of someone I knew... well, know...” I sighed, wishing I had seen mochi on the menu but I didn’t. Otherwise, I would’ve chosen that instead of the ribs.
That’s when Kale sat up, very interested in the topic.
“A boy, perhaps?” He asked as he continued to cut up his steak and ate a piece. I couldn’t help but blush as Arc and Lux entered my mind. I couldn’t help but think about them. The war was getting closer and I wondered if they would come.
“Yes, but... he’s been gone for a while now. I’m not even sure if he’s still alive, what with the situation he seems to be in...” I sighed as Kale took a sip of water and the waitress came by to check on us. We told her we were doing fine and she left. The place wasn’t that busy so I couldn’t blame her for asking. Her eyes had also rested a few times on Kale. I wasn’t the only one that thought he was handsome.
“This wouldn’t be that character named Arc and Lux, is it?” I went wide eyed. How would he know? Kale smirked as he took another piece of steak.
“You should know...” Right, right, Krory... I still raised my eyebrows curiously.
“Okay... Unless Krory told you, then yes, it is Lux and Arc...” He leaned forward in interest.
“Do tell, I’m all ears, sweetie,” He said sweetly as he popped a veggie into his mouth. I sighed. I didn’t want to divulge into this but it seemed I had no choice. I put down my rib and looked at Kale and for some reason, I seemed to just tell him everything.
“Arc just... left me one night, no explanation, nothing. He had done this before but I didn’t think he would do it again because he promise he wouldn’t and he still did... I understand that he did this to confront his past but he didn’t bother to tell me anything... He was dying, and I had no idea until the night before he left... My best friend, Lux, he...” I took in a deep breath, trying not to speed up my heart rate for the sadness I was feeling and wanting to cry. “...he left to go find him for me but I know that they both aren't doing well. I have this... connection with Lux and this is how I know... and I have a deep feeling that Arc won’t be coming back... My tarot cards have already told me and I’m always correct in my readings...” I couldn’t look Kale in the eyes anymore and looked down at my plate of food. I want to cry but I just couldn’t...
“Tarot cards?” He took a few seconds to think but then nodded. “I see... have you confided this to anyone before?” He asked and I shook my head.
“Yes, my tarot cards... I use them to help me with my Foresight that I was born with... And no, I haven’t confided this to anyone else except maybe a little bit to Krory,” I sighed.
“And what did she say?” Kale questioned, shifting his position in his seat.
“That they both love me and that both of them care for me... and I knew that all along, I just... was in denial,” I sighed once more. Kale sighed, closing his eyes, as if expecting this.
“I believe she probably said something about how guys have their ways of doing things... If he truly ran off, its not right, I agree, but maybe they are off getting stronger...” He was trying to sound optimistic but it didn’t work on me.
“I know they aren’t getting stronger... Maybe Lux is but not Arc... Last time I forsaw them, Lux was missing an eye and Arc was on his deathbed, maybe at best getting better. Lux seemed stronger, though, I’ll say that...” I smiled for a mere second on the thought that Lux was getting stronger but it died shortly. Kale smiled sweetly at me as I heard his tail wagging on the ground.
“You know, we men have our ways of doing things, just like ladies enjoy doing their things in their own way. I suspect that you lack trust in this Arc character whom you call your boyfriend and are weary about Lux. You carry a lot of negative vibes and need to look at the positive. Obviously, Arc left you to heal to become better, Lux left to follow him to make sure Arc is safe and come back safely. It’s kind of like the military; everyone looks out for each other,” and that’s when Kale grew quiet and turned his attention to the ground.
“It’s the first time I’ve mentioned it in months hough... I’ve been keeping positive... Everything just gets to you eventually, you know? And there’s no telling either of them will come back... I just know that one of them won’t...” I sighed as I looked up at Kale and I finally processed in my brain that he had grown quiet. “Is everything alright, Kale?” He perked up immediately.
“It’s nothing, love! Just prepare yourself for the worse, because in the line of fire... you never know what will or may happen,” Kale warned me, as if he could see the future too. Odd.
“Alright...” I said as I picked up my rib again and started to eat it slowly, my mind being now on Lux and Arc and it made me wonder, what with that reply, if he had undergone something similar...”Kale, I know this might be odd to ask, but have you lost anyone dear to you?” Apparently, this was the wrong question to ask. His eyes narrowed as he looked at me as he asked for the check from the waitress.
“Check please... Yes I have... my parents a while ago...” Kale sighed quietly and my eyes widened.
“I'm sorry... I didn't know... I lost my parents as of maybe a year or two ago... I didn't know they were dead until recently... I'm sorry...” I said quietly and Kale completely bypassed it, his emotions changing immediately. I could tell he didn’t want to stay on the topic and to keep things happy.
“Oh don't be! Actually to be honest, I lost someone more dear a long time ago. The person actually was very close to my heart, I loved them so very very dear, but they changed. I suppose it’s because I have changed and they can't accept that. It's quite alright though because I am who I am, it just hurts that they rather see you on your deathbed then see you in person. I continue to write to that person every week,” Kale said and imagined that it must’ve been Krory he was talking about. I didn’t know that about her, that she couldn’t accept Kale. It was sad, really...
“I'm sorry you've had to go through that, Kale... It sounds horrible...” I said as I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, wanting to say who it was, but I didn’t want to hurt his feelings.
“I'm a strong person I can deal... I’ve been through much worse,” Kale said as the waitress came by and handed him the bill, he then taking out his wallet and grabbing his debit, the wallet slipping onto the table as he did so. He went wide-eyed as I saw the wallet and quickly grabbed it, stuffing it in his back pocket immediately. It looked... familiar...
“That wallet... looks familiar...” I said as I narrowed my eyes at Kale and he wrote in a tip on the bill and gave the waitress his debit. Not soon after, the waitress came back and handed it to him. He slipped it into his back pocket without taking his wallet out again.
“Yeah, it’s a popular brand, I guess. I like fashionable items,” Kale shrugged as we stood up with our meals done and walked out of the restaurant. I was still confused... I guess it didn’t really matter though.
“Right... Anyways, I guess I should head back to the mansion to see if Krory is back,” I told Kale as we got outside and I noticed the temperature had dropped. I shivered once more. I really should head back to the mansion...
“Right, I have a bag full of things I need to drop off for her. Let me walk you there,” Kale said with a smile as he extended his arm again and I took it with a smile.
“Alright then,” I said as we started to walk again and exited the town. Just as we were hitting the first and Kale was humming, I felt something cold and wet hit my head. I looked up and it was snowing. You had to be kidding me... but either way, I couldn’t help but smile. I hadn’t gotten to have fun in a while. Maybe Kale likes snow as well?
“Wonderful... its snowing...” Kale said dryly and I giggled as I continued to shiver.
“Kale, it’s just snow...” I laughed and he just narrowed his eyes.
“It's still a water molecule... Cold?” Kale asked as he wrapped his arm around me, pulled me toward him. I smiled and blushed. I wasn’t used to this attention, being this close.to somebody. I was so used to being alone... and I had a feeling I would be soon either way... I pushed the thoughts away. I may as well enjoy this time with Kale while I have it.
“A little bit...” I told him with a smile and he rubbed my arm as we got into the forest and it started to snow a little heavier. That’s when he stopped suddenly and I almost fell forward into the snow with my face.
“You know... why don't you try catching snowflakes on your tongue?” I stared at Kale. Was he serious?
“Why would I do that?” I asked him with a slight giggle as I got a whiff of his cologne and it seemed familiar as well but I couldn't guess what... I guess he reminded me of Lux.
“Because its fun....sometimes when you stressed, which you are....you have bags under your eyes,” Kale pointed out and I rolled my eyes. “...You just need to have a little fun,” Kale laughed as he took a few steps back and I pushed down my hood.
“Alright,” I laughed as I lifted up my head and stuck out my tongue. I giggled when some snowflakes fell on it and melted on my tongue. I looked back at Kale while my tongue was still sticking out and he just laughed as he looked at me with warm eyes. I blushed furiously.
“Kale, it seems like I know you from somewhere...” I told him as I laughed a little as more snowflakes fell on my face.
“Do you now? I bet Krory was the first Krokorok you ever met... How do you figure you know me?” He laughed as he walked over to me and I smiled. It was so odd.
“I just... feel like I know you. Maybe you remind me of Lux... He was always carefree and fun like you are,” I smiled and
“Is he now? He sounds like a... great friend,” Kale smirked as his tail moved and picked up a bunch of snow. I wasn’t able to respond fast enough as that snow turned into a snowball and was flicked at my face, my face meeting it openly and got cold. “Oops!” Kale laughed and ran off towards the mansion. I giggled, wiped the snow off of my face and chased after him.
“Hey, come back here!” I called after him as he tried throwing a big snowball at me after putting his bag down. I dodged it by using Double Team and had all of them throwing snowballs at him.
“Oie....” He tried avoiding it but slipped in the snow instead. All of my doubles started disappearing as I ran up to him. “...Oh, this is bloody cold!!!” Kale laughed. “Damn... I'm sounding like my sister...” He laughed as he continued to lay there and I just plopped down beside him, snow covering both of us and I laughed.
“Of course it's cold! It's snow!” I laughed and Kale scoffed.
“I hate it,” Kale stated and I rolled my eyes playfully.
“So? It's fun!” I giggled, as if I was a child again. “It doesn't matter if it's water! It's just fun to play in! That's the point!” I laughed and Kale’s eyes narrowed.
“That it is, have you been training with Krory on your double team? If so, you are very skilled at it,” Kale said and I shrugged.
“Only once in awhile,” I said with a smile. “I've been practicing alone and practicing with my teammates but I haven't shown it to Krory yet. I was planning on doing that today,” I told him as I sat up and looked at him. “It's been great training with her though. I've learned a lot from her already,” I told him with a slight giggle. I wasn’t used to giggling so much... I’ve done it so much.
“Yeah she's tough, but its all for a reason. She may be mean and demanding, nevertheless, think of how much you have already progressed. She is good at reading people and helping them reach even greater heights than they possibly had imagined,” Kale said with a smile as he looked off in the distance. “But she is constantly terrified. She's always been uncomfortable around people, may not always show it. I bet she is right now. However, that's only because she doesn't have much self confidence in her looks and feels awkward with people. Actually, I know her greatest fear is being accepted by the others in the mansion once they get to know the real her,” Kale told me and I looked at him curiously.
“The real her? I'm sure all of us would accept her, no matter what. She's helped all of us so much.” I smiled. “It's nice having her around. She's confident though and we all look up to her, even though we may argue. She can always talk to somebody at the mansion if she's uncomfortable. There are so many people who would listen, including me. I bet she would look beautiful without the makeup she wears. A lot of people do. It just shows who you truly are and you can't always hide it. We accept anybody who is different in the club. Gijinkas are the different ones from humans after all...” I sighed and Kale stood up, cringing as he did so.
“I bet you'd be a little shocked if you saw her without her makeup. She’s very ugly without her makeup on...” I stared at Kale. Why would he call Krory ugly? Seriously, she’s his sister...
“Probably not. I'd be proud that she would be showing who she truly is. She's an amazing person, Kale. Your sister. Why would you say that about her?” I frowned as I noticed the constant cringe on his face, as if his legs were giving him pain.
“Even more reason for me ta say that about her, we're siblings...” Kale laughed as he started to walk and continued to cringe. He must’ve injured his leg earlier, probably before we met...
“Still, if I had a sibling, I wouldn't call them ugly... What Krory doesn't realize is that she's beautiful inside and out, no matter people's opinions of her. She should learn to ignore them instead of taking on what they say so harshly... There may be people at the mansion who insult her but I think she has yet to ignore them and look at her inner beauty instead of what matters on the outside...” I got up, shook the snow off me and walked beside him once he got his bag and started to walk towards the mansion.
“I'm glad you think so Shupple. Krory has, how do you say, had her heart broken when she has completely given her heart to someone when they learn more about her. She's not really comfortable in her skin but she is willing to sacrifice everything for her friends. Don't get me wrong, I love my sister, she is the greatest sis a brother can ask for. She’s kind, gentle, passionate, haha clumsy, oblivious to things, military happy, and honestly very skilled. I'd actually lose to her if I had to fight, she's far stronger than she lets on,” Kale said with a small smile as we got to the clearing of the mansion and underneath the barrier.
“I think you need to go to Krory more often... you look as if you need a really good girlfriend... I'm sure you can relate and be comfortable around her just like you are with me,” Kale said as he looked up at the mansion.
“It would be nice to talk to someone in the mansion that isn't a man and not Xio,” I chuckled slightly. “I'll talk to her more, I promise that. Thank you for walking back with me, Kale,” I said with a smile as we got to the doors and Kale turned to me with a smile.
“Of course, a lady shouldn't be alone on her way home,” Kale said earnestly and I laughed.
“Well, of course, but most of the women around here can take care of themselves most of the time,” I smiled as I opened the front door, hearing Nyarth and Xio talking, and it didn’t seem happy. “Would you like me to bring that bag to Krory or would you like to deliver it yourself?” I asked him and he chuckled slightly.
“I'm flattered dear Shupple, but I think its best that I make my way back home. I sincerely would appreciate you give these to Krory on my behalf,” Kale said as he handed me the bag. I took it in hand and surprisingly, it was a bit heavy. “It has a bunch of things she wanted, new makeup, earrings, other jewelry, and so forth....though...” Kale paused and chuckled nervously. “I did forget one thing...” I tilted my head in curiousity.
“Alright... What did you forget?” I asked him and Kale’s face turned beat red.
“Maxi pads and tampons...” He said quietly and I laughed. That was a simple fix!
“She could've just asked one of the girls around here, even me! I have loads of extras!” I laughed and Kale just nervously laughed.
“Actually I didn't forget I just wasn't comfortable buying those things for her,” Kale sighed in relief and I giggled.
“I don't blame you. It would be awkward for a man to grab those off the shelves unless it was for their girlfriends,” I told him as I opened the door and walked partly inside. “I'll see you later, Kale,” I smiled warmly, being really glad that I had met him and gotten to spend some time with him. It was nice knowing Krory’s brother.
“Nice meeting you, dollface.” I paused in my steps. How... did he...
“Where did you hear that name?” I asked as I turned around but he was gone. I must’ve not heard that right... Krory had started calling me that nickname... he couldn’t have possibly known it unless he talked to her previous of this... right?
I shook it off and headed upstairs to Krory’s room. I could hear her inside, listening to the radio. I knocked on the door.
“Krory?” I called as I opened the door slightly and saw that she was inside the bathroom from her shadow.
“Yes, dollface?” I shuddered and then shook off the feelings. It was ultimately weird now.
“Kale gave me some stuff to give you that you needed him to get,” I called to her and she laughed.
“Just give it here, dollface,” Krory said as she put her hand through the door and I walked over and gave it to her. She took the bag and closed the door.
“What? That bloke didn’t get me any tampons or pads!” She exclaimed and I stifled a laugh.
“Krory, just ask me for one, alright? There are a bunch of girls here. You can just ask us,” I told her with a smile lifting on my face and Krory chuckled nervously.
“Well... I couldn’t help but feel awkward if I did, dollface. It’s embarrassin,” Krory stated as she came out, all spiffied up and smiling.
“Well, you don’t have to worry about that around girls. We’ll give it to you if you need it,” I said as she blushed slightly. I cleared my throat. “Krory... if you ever want to talk about anything, any girl time, anything that’s bothering you, you can talk to me, alright? You truly can,” and that’s when she gave the same, warm smile Kale gave me just a few minutes ago. They truly were twins.
“Alright, dollface.” And that’s when we both jumped at a booming noise. It sounded like someone just hit the mansion’s side... or... a bomb or something of the like. I could hear yelling of Xio’s and... Tanner’s voices? That couldn’t be right...
“What are those two blokes doing now? Sounds like a fight about ta happen... or has already happened,” Krory said as she headed out the doors and I followed her.
Hopefully, they weren’t blowing up or destroying the mansion... again.
