This is my blog world. I call it The Labyrinth because life can feel like one, as evidenced my many of my posts.

So. Me:

Name: Sara Ann. (Hate my boring name. And my boring middle name. In fact, only like my last name)

****************************************

Nicknames I've had: Mustard, Scootchers, Gemi, Sara-Bara, Bara, Horcrux, Bestie Doodle. I don't mind MOST nicknames because they're endearing and as I've said, my own name is boring.

****************************************

Age: 18 as of June 2, 2013

****************************************

Favorite color: I actually don't know. I like colorful things. I think blue is very deep, light green is very peaceful, and purple can either be very calming or very passionate. I don't know how to choose just one.

****************************************

Favorite numbers: 4, 16, 394.

****************************************

Likes: Reading, writing, drawing, painting, art, listening to music, complaining, skiing, ice skating, making up stories in my head, laughing, making people laugh, cool/wild clothes, hugs, inspirational quotes, good friends, Harry Potter, dark chocolate, actually any chocolate, Ben and Jerry's, running, hedgehogs, puppies, making fun of politicians, changing peoples' computer backgrounds to weird random stuff while they're not looking, gum.

****************************************

Hates: Any sort of stinging insect, judgmental people, the DMV, that awkward moment when there's an inside joke and I don't get it, waking up early.

****************************************

Fears: Stinging insects, losing people I'm close too, home burning down, that moment when a favorite fictional character dies/turns out to be evil and your whole world kind of dies, always feeling alone, not making it in the world, becoming bitter and jaded, having children and seeing them suffer.

****************************************

Religion: Tolerance. The truth is, though I believe in some kind of power, I'm not sure how I define that at this point. I go to church because I believe in the work we do for the community and the world. I am so sick of people using their religion as an excuse to hate on others. As long as you're a good person I don't care if you don't believe the same thing as I do. In fact, one of my favorite quotes is: "What a coincidence that God hates all the same people you do!"

****************************************

Interesting facts: I have color-changing eyes. They were blue when I was young, but they slowly turned gray-blue. Sometimes they still turn bright blue, and I actually have a couple pictures to prove this. I collect fortune cookie fortunes, chapsticks, and paper books, because I'm afraid they may soon go out of print.

****************************************

My current obsessions: Writing good quotes in calligraphy, Six Word Stories, Shipping fictional characters, Black Butler and anything to do with Sebastian, Mugglenet Memes, Minecraft, funny/catchy songs such as "dumb ways to die" or "I'll make a man out of you" and the following song, "In which Draco and Harry secretly want to make out" by the Whomping Willows, which is...I mean, I don't even know how to...just listen.

****************************************

Favorite Manga/anime: I haven't actually read/watched a whole lot, but...Black Butler by far.

****************************************

Some stuffs about me: First and foremost, I'm a writer and storyteller. Of all the things that have changed in my life, that's been a constant and I'm pretty sure it always will be. I'm also an artist and a calligrapher. I'm pretty sensitive and emotional and can get very fired up over a topic. I like to read beyond reason and when I'm into a very good book I won't notice if my current dwelling falls down around me. I'm a passionate skier. I love nature and hope to live in a place with a lot of forests, mountains, or ocean later in life. I like to talk but I believe in the importance of everyone being quiet once in a while. I'm pretty weird and can also be kinda awkward......yeah. There's also a lot of things about me that are not so good. I try to be better every day and I really like the quote "You should only ever try to be better than the person you were yesterday."
And I love bacon. A lot.

Welcome to the labyrinth that is my life.

Damn...

Slow computer is slow. My banner won't change. I'm trying to make it this one but it just won't do it...

A WILD UPDATE APPEARS

Yes. it was that time again. But my computer's being dumb and my image changes refuse to show. it can take a while. I must continue to work on this.

Ink-stained hands

I feel very relieved. After a few days of mounting depression and frustration, I spent my entire study hall and math class writing a four-page (back and front) rant directed mainly at a person I'm frustrated with but also expressing a lot of the frustration I've felt with myself and my life. I felt a lot better after writing it. Honestly, while my hand was racing across the page I almost went into a kind of trance. It felt kind of good to be writing on paper again too. I do a lot by computer nowadays, but the truth is that it isn't the same as a pen for me. Ink-stained hands have always been a part of my identity. When I was done I didn't feel as mad at her anymore either, although I think this is probably going to bug me for a long time.

Update-ifying

So it's that time, the time when I need to update ALL my worlds. Why? Because soon is MY BIRTHDAY! And...HOLY PLATYPUS I'M GOING TO BE 18! It's so weird...i definitely don't feel like a grown-up. I'M SCARED!!! anyways...my worlds...they'll be new and improved, soon. Oh, and I made 2 more, which i'm still working on. So, yeah...

New art stuffs

So yesterday my dad and I went out and he got me some calligraphy ink. I got the standard black and also blue, green, and purple. He got me some parchment as well because the ink tends to get blotchy on regular paper. My teacher gave me a pen and a set of nibs as a graduation present so now I can make more craft stuff! Yay! I tested out the purple ink making my mom a mother's day card and it came out all right.

Also I got some new outdoor spray paints and stencils so I can decorate our lawn chairs. We usually just paint them white because we live out in the middle of nowehere and our house isn't too big. We don't really hold a lot of gatherings; our neighborhood is a very private and isolated place those who choose to live here do so because they like nature, peace, and privacy. However, all the relatives are coming up for my graduation and we're going to have a party, so we're trying to spruce the place up a bit. We're repainting and replanting everything. I don't know what can be done about repainting the tree fort though...it would take so much time. My dad insisted on painting it brown years ago to match the house, but then we had the house re-sided blue and now we just have this giant brown box up there. I'd like to paint it some other color...oh well.

I'm actually really psyched to paint these chairs, guys. Oh, and also I HAVE CUTE STICKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to get some of those too...
