For most bands, B-Sides amount to incomplete tracks or one’s not good enough to sell to the general public. Bside album duds like Avenged Seven fold’s ‘Diamonds in the Rough’ and Gorillaz ‘D-Sides’ prove why most bands simply toss their unfinished business aside.
Since their 2003 debut, The Killers have produced a prolific number of non album tracks most of which have been released across their singles. But they didn’t stop at quantity. On their B-Side album, Sawdust, nowhere does it feel like a compilation album. This is possibly due to the tracks sharing central themes & backing instrumentation deviating from their usual sound. Its like when a group of oddballs come together and suddenly fit together. Supremely un-killers tracks that would have stuck out on their glossy studio albums are right at home amid darkness (‘Tranquilize’, ‘Shadowplay’) fragility (‘Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf’, ‘Show You’) desperation (Almost every track) and the downright weird (‘Where the White Boys Dance’, ‘Glamorous Indie Rock n’ Roll’).The best way I can summarize the album is a slow transition from dark to light(er). It begins with the dark Lou Reed duet ‘Tranquilize’ and ends with an upbeat remix of ‘Mr. Brightside’ followed by a pointless hidden track where the band is almost laughing through the short lyrics. Later tracks like their cover of ‘Romeo & Juliet’ by Dire Straits and ‘Who Let You Go?’ drag a bit compared to their more urgent predecessors, but the album provides a less glittery look at pop-rock, and lo’ it is good.

Here's a picture summery of the last few months of my life.
I went to my second Anime Convention this year with most of our schools Anime Club, we shared two rooms at the hotel, this is Alice who took over 3 hours to get into this costume, i had to draw the tattoos on her with sharpie. If anyone's going to ACEN in Chicago (ish area) ill hopefully be there.

Blah, came back here and saw sumhow I’d gotten 80ish views to my world, which means sumones either stalking me or might read this post. or likely both.
school let out two weeks ago, since then I’ve engaged in several end of school parties. fun stuff. Twister is the most disgustingly perverted children’s game ever made. we censor lesbians in Blink 182 music videos, yet we allow children 4+ to play twister. ah generous hypocrites. Other fun events included disturbing the peace at 10:30 at night by stalkerishly knocking on the bedroom window of one of shanes friends until he noticed there were 10 people walking around his backyard at night. We tied Chris to a pole in Hodge’s basement and hit him repetitively in the butt with a oar (he’s a masochist) until sarah accidentally hit him in the balls with it. (I have video of it and I don’t feel very proud of that). Other then that there was lots of movies and playing of GH3 & Rock Band.
On a more somber note George Carlin died. If you don’t know who he is, he was a comedian who’s routines got the supreme court to censor lots o’ shit. Anyway he was my favorite comedian and the day b4 he died my friends had recommended one of his skits to me that I hadn’t seen.
If anyone interested here’s sum of the art I did in my draw/paint III class. ( I took draw paint IV/Studio earlier this year b4 III cause our school has weird ass scheduling) and or course I tagged it cause im paranoid, although if anyone is desperate enough to steal low quality photos of shit off a TheO page they are one creepy motherfucker.
All my friends are at jew camp, or flying off to exotic locations until mid july, so im gonna be killing time until then. Chao.
