Reputations/Karma?
We have been discussing a new reputations system on OB recently and now there's actually a poll for members to vote on the subject.
At the moment the most popular idea is to make it very lighthearted and fun, with "good" and "evil" statuses. We have some great ideas about how to put this together to make it really fun, but I really want to get as many people voting on this as possible.
So if you have some thoughts you want to share or you would just like to vote in our poll, visit this thread. Have fun! 
Registration improvements.
I just want to drop in with a couple of brief updates that should be good news for OB newcomers.
First of all, I've turned off the email activation feature for all new users. In the past, you'd receive an email from OB and you'd have to activate it in order to gain full access to the site.
Unfortunately this system hasn't worked properly in quite a while and with no immediate fix in sight, I thought it would be better to just axe the feature completely. Registration is still a secure process, but now you can access the boards as soon as you've created your account.
For anyone who was waiting for a registration email but didn't receive one, fear not: I've already fixed all of those accounts so that you can post straight away.
Also, it's just a little thing, but I've added a field in all member profiles where you can list your favorite anime. It may not sound like much, but it's a searchable field - so as people add this info to their profiles, other members will be able to search for friends based on the anime they love.
If you're an existing member you should definitely start adding your list straight away!
More Anime Forums?
As you are probably aware, OB held a vote quite a while ago where we asked members to vote for the creation of a new series-specific anime forum at OB. We gave a few options and the winner was Fullmetal Alchemist.
At this point I would really like to hold another vote to add additional forums, but I'm not sure whether we should just continue adding the forums that were already suggested (in order of their votes - meaning Death Note would be next in line) or whether we should do a whole new vote with new options.
What do you guys think? If you want me to add any anime series to a new poll, please suggest them here or on the official thread.
Otaku Jeopardy Season 2
Hello Otaku,
Otaku Jeopardy got back underway and we have our first champion of the season. Sangome was crowned the first Champion of season two.

Miss Anonymous! She beat out last week's Otaku Jeopardy champion, Shinmaru to claim the crown as week 2 champion of Otaku Jeopardy! Congratulations to Miss A and thanks go out to Shinmaru and Sangome for participating.
