untitled poetry

The clouds in the distance seemed to swallow the sky into their empty darkness.
The sky weeping its sorrow down upon me as I lay here drowning in darkness.
Grabbing at illusions of sunshine, trying to find something beyond this insignificant world.
Though as I reach for distant stars, I find that I cannot leave this lonely shadowy world.

Here I sit, all alone, watering the roses with this rain of misery, lost in my nothingness.
Searching for tomorrow through the fog of this silent night, still as death, dark as nothingness.
Smile, smile, just give one little tiny fragile glimmer of joy to my heart of ice and dread.
Some small light to guide through the shadows on to a brighter tomorrow.
