Withdrawing Lunaria idly, I circled Serix, a menacing smirk on my lips. “Do you expect a grand welcome? If so, I’m afraid you’ve come across the wrong person.” I paused for a moment, thinking a second on that. “In fact. You’ve come to the wrong castle.”
He merely smirked in return. “No, I’m afraid I’m precisely where I intend to be. Take me to Xerebus.”
Tossing another ice shard just past his face, I snarled at his demand. “Again. Wrong person.”
“RaXi!” Verex called, coming from the hall behind me. “..Serix? What are you doing here?”
“Well, if it isn’t Verex…long time no see.” Serix stated, keeping his eyes on me, much to my dismay. “Why don’t you tell her to stand aside? I am here for Xerebus, I have no need for trifling battles.”
“Trifling. Hmph! If only you’d said that when last we met.” I growled.
“And yet I have been informed that the situation has changed since then, so why do you stand against me now?” He argued.
“RaXi…” Verex started, but I interrupted him.
“Circumstances may have changed, but that does not mean I trust you.” I spat, allowing Lunaria to return as I straightened my posture and adjusted my cloak. “Do what you want, I don’t care.” I walked towards him, stopping just at Serix’s side. “Though I will be watching you. Let’s hope circumstances don’t change again, shall we?” I gazed at him from the corner of my eye before continuing on, ignoring all calls towards me. I was annoyed and in no mood to bury any hatchets. I’d keep watch from a safe distance…since that was where I liked it best.
Verex scratched his head. “Yeah…they told me you might be showing up. I didn’t say anything to her because of…well…that. C’mon, I’ll take you to Xerebus.”
