You're welcome ^__^ That's really great that your class let you write a paper about anime. Very few of my classes did ^^'. hehe but that's college lol and school in general lol. keep up the good work ^^ hope you're having a good day ^^ ^^.
Wow! Thanks for the support! Actually I wrote it for my college English class and my professor seemed to think it was really good, so I thought it would be appropriate to post here. So I guess my answer is no, I don't have any parents to show it too personally, but if someone I knew asked my opinion I would probably show them this! Thanks again!

Just as a side comment, I love Avatar: The Last Airbender since it can mix the artistic and musical styles of the East while still being able to retain a sense that it was made to be an American cartoon.
But I found this essay to be quite a lovely read and enlightening as well. The only problem is that what people define as anime is hard: some see it as an animation style while others see it as animation alone. I for one know it when I see it.
Very good job ^^ I highly enjoyed your article ^__^. As a person who's analyzed social beliefs (i'm a sociologist) and anime itself, I highly agree with what you said. I once did a paper about anime- hence the mention earlier- and talked about how it can vary from genre to genre and the positive aspects of it. I also discussed how deep and different it can be. I find a lot of good points within your article and liked it a lot. Keep up the good work :) Are you planning to show this elsewhere like I dunno to hmm sorry lol can't place question correctly (because im tired right now hehe), but what I'm trying to say is, are you planning to show this to parents you know in person? Just curious. Well I think you did a wonderful job with this piece and I've favorited it :3 :]!

Good job here, I think parents need to be aware that just because it's a cartoon, it doesn't mean that all anime is right for all audiences.
Parent's definitely need to look for more kid-appropriate anime. Just like they need to be alert to the ESRB ratings on video games.

Of course anime is okay for my kid... if i ever have a kid. But I would make them watch anime from the day they are born till they leave the house
