Paul's Technique

This is a painting I did based on Paul Klee's oil technique. First you do a layer of different colors on the canvas. Then you wait for days until all the oil paint dries. After it does, paint over it another layer with the colors you want it to have. While still wet scrape parts of the new layer so the colors from the layer beneath show! It's a fun technique. I had done something similar before but with a layer of crayon and a layer of acrylic paint. This time i did it with oils 100%! It's better!!! In a way I like how it came out because it looks extremely glossy!!! But then again I used extremely dark colors on both layers on the water and sky parts so you can't tell very well where I did the scraping on these two parts of the painting. Especially the sky... Luckily it looks just fine on the grass and dead trees. Let me know what you think, I know it's not a beautiful painting but does it have to?

Paul Klee once said: "To emphasize only the beautiful seems to me to be like a mathematical system that only concerns itself with positive numbers."

He also said: "Beauty is as relative as light and dark. Thus, there exists no beautiful woman, none at all, because you are never certain that a still far more beautiful woman will not appear and completely shame the supposed beauty of the first." My point is only the first sentence, there's a lot of beautiful people out there in my opinion.
