    Ooooh. Thanks for KanaSensei, it will be good to help remember all the japanese characters. Although I will admit it isn't as complicated as chinese...I had taken chinese school for 8 years and still I cannot read a lot of characters.

    @Krustyknuckles:

    I will when I can! Hence my post...apologizing. XD And I wrote that before I saw that you actually posted! You can correct whatever, and you can post whenever you want. School has kept me busy with things other than this. :/ And I'm so lazy and forgetful, too. Demo, arigatou! :D You did fine! One mistake here or there is no problem. I'm not perfect either. ^^; We're not fluent in Japanese...

    No prob. maybe you can get in a lesson? I do need to correct myself on a few things I posted tho...

    i.e. my name is translated into Banaa instead of banneru (and its so much easier to spell in Katakana)

    Nice nice job!! I had NO CLUE that you updated this. XD I'm stupid. But at the same time...well, when a guest poster posts, I'm not aware of it! I don't see the comments in the comment updater thingy...or my own world being updated in my backroom either. XD So yeah, wow. Thanks so much! You did great with this!! ^__^ Sorry I didn't notice it sooner~

    @midnightqueen:

    onee-chan meaning "little sister" is pronounced like oh-neigh
    onii-chan meaning "little brother" is pronounced like oh-knee

    As for your name; in Japan, your last name would be the one used professionally or as a student or in polite conversation.

    Your first name, used by friends and such, would be pronounced just as it is said almost (a more soft use of "a" as in "ah")
    it would be spelled in katakana as Ma|n|di - three characters.

    Feel free to ask any more questions :D

    This is awesome!! XD I don't think there's anywhere around where I live that teaches Japanese... But this is great!! ^_^ I can't wait to see some more lessons!

    *raises hand* I gotsa question!!! (though it has nothing to do with this lesson...) What's the difference in pronunciation between "onee" and "onii"? (As in onee-chan or onii-san.) I've never been able to figure that out... DX Also, do you know how my name (Mandi) would be prounounced and spelled?

    Yay!! Another lesson!! I should probably memorize the symbols though to help with the pronunciations. Eh...so lazy. Anyway, thanks for putting up the second lesson! Now I know a greeting!!

    One thing. I'm not sure how to properly pronounce the words. Would it be possible to link to an audio. I know this takes more work, but it would be helpful when hearing the pronunciation. I'm gonna look for a website that has some audio samples in Japanese and send you a link.

    Ah, how nice this is. Seeing as I DON'T get to take Japanese in college like I wanted. I'll be sure to remember this.
