Hello, everyone!

You have reached the rambling, the fangirling, and the general chill-pad of theOtaku's NightBeck, a.k.a Becky, a.k.a Crimson Lotus the Irish Ninja.

... okay, maybe not the last one. But people will be calling me that one day.

This is your place to chill, talk about life and fandom, and be generally crazy. So go on. Play nice, be good to each other, don't make me hurt you.

My favorite series: Princess Tutu, Ookiku Furikabutte, Mushishi, xxxHOLiC, Monster, Black Lagoon, Ergo Proxy, Escaflowne, and Baccano!

My writing: Cafe Cliche

FFFF I am so amazing

So on the way to my 3:00pm class today, I tripped and fell down the stairs. I now have a sprain and a possible teeny tiny insignificant fracture in my ankle.

... actually it's kind of hilarious, in that "OMG I FAIL AT LIFE (AND CRUTCHES)" way, but hopefully I will be able to walk properly very soon. And hopefully it's not a fracture. Somehow I don't think so. It doesn't hurt that much. I'll know next week, in any case.

... are you serious.

So remember when I had to get my hard drive replaced a month ago?

Turns out the repairman didn't install the OS properly, and now I need to back up all my files (again) and get Vista totally reinstalled (AGAIN.) Did I mention that I have three essays due between now and Wednesday?

Computer's working fine now, but if it decides again that it doesn't feel like starting up Windows like it did this morning, I'm totally screwed.

I will never speak English again.

So this weekend, I had an essay and five chapters of kanji homework to finish for tomorrow. I started working around noon today with a significant portion of that essay done.

It is 2:15 in the morning, and I just finished everything.

Incidentally, this kanji homework is supposed to prepare us for a quiz on the same kanji tomorrow, but since I just spent the entire day running everything through the electronic dictionary, I don't really have the energy left to study for this quiz. This seems somewhat counterproductive.

... so basically, I really need to do my kanji homework little by little throughout the week if I ever intend to have weekend plans ever again. I don't care if Sekino-sensei doesn't e-mail us the exact requirements until the last minute, I will just do it the way we did this week and if she changes her mind she can suck it. ;;

I am not doing any of this homework tomorrow, though. Tomorrow I have a four and a half hour block of classes and after that I intend to write, dammit.

As if any of us were the least bit normal, anyway.

This is my second day of classes, and things have been going down already. I have listened to an ex-hippie-turned-professor ramble about how he used to be a communist and love Stalin ("but that was then, of course!") and burst into Italian, I've m...

I'm back!

Sorry for the radio silence! My laptop's hard drive died.

What did I miss?
