Busy Week but I Squeezed in Two Drawings!
I've had a busy week/week and a half! Summerfest is in full throttle here . For those of you who don't know what Summerfest is - it's a *gigantic* music festivals with dozens of stages and hundreds of performances by amazing artists. Most stages are free with admission. :D My favorite American band was there (We the Living) and they autographed my cd for me. I got a T-Shirt and I got a cd by an *amazing* artist named Ari Herstand. He's a one-man band who sets up three microphones and mixes his music live. I'll put up a youtube clip of We the Living and Ari Herstand at the bottom of the page. Today I'm going to go see Chris Koza with my best friend. We'll probably have a blast. :D
I got my roomie assignment for next semester. Her name is Samm and she looks like a real sweetie! :D I bet we get along - she just looks like she's got a really down-to-earth personality. :> I'm still having major financial aid problems. I mean huuuge problems - I still don't know for sure if I can even go to school in the fall. :< I'm trying as hard as I can - but I don't have that much money. We'll see.
I got more to tell ya, but I've gotta run and do stuff! So ttyl.
Amazing Artist: Ari Herstand (at summerfest, he actually played all the instruments - trumpet, guitar, beatbox, etc)
Work, Work, Work
I finally got a job after searching for an entire month. It's much better than the one I had before (Michael's Arts and Crafts store). The company I work at now is called U-line - a family owned business that creates high-qualitiy mini-fridges/icemakers/etc. They're crazy and they put me in the icemaker department. I wire the motors of all the products and if a few wires are left undone or a tiny bit loose it all goes to hell. We had to take a test and apparently I got good marks so I'm not on the real-assembly work that I applied for. Which confuses me because it was a math test and I'm incredibly horrendous at mathmatics. *shrug* All well, it's work. I go four days a week (Monday-Thursday) for ten hours a day (6 am to 4:30 pm). Let me tell you, riding your bike at 5:30 am for a mile is a draining way to start off a long day. lol. But, honestly, I really like it there. The people are so fun and it's just a blast despite doing repetative, boring work. It *hurts* too. My fingers get stuck a lot and have been throbbing for the past week because of all the intricate wires. It's fading with time though - but now that I'm *nearly* over it, my shoulders are screaming at me to stop pulling down the three power drills dangling above my head, waiting for use. (I drilled into my finger today...shhh...didn't cry or nothing! 8D I'm so proud! lol).
Despite the intense pain I manage to draw a fanart for Kino no Tabi (Kino's Journey) but I won't be able to update it for another week. My laptop's powercord went haywire and now all I'm left with is my family's desktop which means: no photoshop. So my picture scans crappily and I have no way of fixing it. So, in the mean time, I'll just keep drawing and drawing. I'm working on a couple of originals, and a fma fanart in the mean time. So I'm keeping busy. ;)

It took me forever to figure out worlds
It's true. It took me much longer than what was probably necessary to figure this out. I just posted a wallpaper and a drawing - both Chobits and I was going to post up a notice about it when I figured out I had no clue how to work this stuff.
Enough about that - when did TheO get rid of cosplay? I did a photo-shoot with one of my younger sisters today and it could be considered original cosplay. She's wearing a kimono-styled dress and we went to the park to take some pictures.
(the image upload isn't working so here is a link to one of my favorites)

I kneeled in quite a lot of goose poop in order to get the right angles for some of them. XD Anyway, I'd love to take photo-shoots of people willing to cosplay. It'd be really neat to do that and I want to show off some my work once I sell it at booths so people would know that I'm a for-hire artist that is in desperate need of commissions.
On another note - I finished watching both the Taiwanese and Japanese version of Hana Kimi on crunchyroll. I highly recommend the Taiwanese one - it's hilarious and the characters are really convincing, but beware- the ending is terrible! The Japanese one wasn't as funny or as interesting and everyone was really plain-faced for most of it - but it *had* an ending - a good one at that. *sigh*
I'm going through quite a number of anime right now - I just finished a number of series including Chobits (good), Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru (bleh), Teggen Toppa Gurren Lagaan (good), Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (okay), and Sayanara Zetsubo Sensei (good). I'm not sure what I'm going to start next...but I'll pick soon!
