Well, I've Certainly Have Been Busy.

Ohmygodi'mrunningoutoftime! There's only...six weeks left in the semester. SIX. That's not a lot of time. Sure, to some that APPEARS like a lot of time, but if you've got to do a four minute long animation within four or five weeks and edit nonstop that last week or two, then you'd feel like me. I shouldn't be posting this at all, I should be crying and begging the gods to stop time, but... all well. It's nice out! :D

As I said, I'm doing an incredible amount of animation at the moment. My stop motion 'The Happy Prince' will be done with voice acting this Friday, hopefully. I finally have my two main actors done, but I need two more before I'm okay. I haven't even began building the set yet. I've got soooo much to do.

I'll be putting up updates to 'Trials and Errors' probably sometime today/tonight. I've got a lot of *small* animations I've been doing including: a fragment of The Princess Bride lip synched in claymation, a (finally working) flash text animation, a sheep baa done through a downshooter, and a mad scientist expression change. :)

Besides that, I've been organizing tons of volunteer things. PHEW! I'm trying to get school supplies to my friend in Iraq to give to kids. I have a drop box in my school, but not a lot of people have donated things. So, MCAD has a Earth Day festival and I think I'll be doing a raffle to try to raise money for that. The same day, I'm organizing with a T.A to do a mile long walk for five different causes for people in Africa. She's been trying to do it for a while, and I'm just trying to help her out, so to speak. The walk is free, but for every person who joins a dollar goes to a cause the walker picks. There's causes like 'clean water' (which gives money to make clean wells and the like) and 'aids help' which helps to set up hospitals, etc. So as soon as the raffle is done, we will be doing that walk. Not only that, but I'm trying to get kids at this tutoring job I volunteer at to donate school supplies too. So, basically three small projects = 1 big project. It's a lot of running around and stuff. I'm trying to still get people to donate things like gift cards and things for the raffle.

Alright, I can't talk long so I hope everyone is doing well and sorry if I start to become scarce soon! I'll try to get on every once in a while!

So.

I just got finished re-watching the ending of FMA. That show is too damn good. Still makes me want to cry. I don't usually love the main characters - funnily enough, because we get too into their heads and I don't like being told exactly how a cha...

Break! Thank God!

I finally can sleep! For about a week and a half I only got about three hours of sleep a night because of finals. The day after I had to get up to meet a friend in the morning - but the day after that I slept for thirteen hours straight. Best sleep ever.
I got a lot accomplished though for my finals. My media II assignment was to make our own website. Tada!

I'm well aware of my identity being revealed with this, but all is well for I trust in you, my fellow otaku. My Intro to Animation final is in there as well. It's the very last one on that page. It could use a lot of work, but that's all I've got. I had to restart about two weeks in and thanksgiving break followed the week after. So, I only had about two weeks out of the given five to do this.
I was just now thinking - I'm not really fond of blogs. It's amusing how I keep this one. I really should stop updating. I'm a terrible hypocrite.
Anyway, I earned some money from the Art Sale! MCAD holds an annual art sale every year and holy hell is it PACKED. Not only with people, but of art - every artist has a limit of up to 25 pictures they can sell per day and some of those pieces are huge. It was, overall, amazing. I didn't participate last year, but this year I put up quite a number of fine art paintings and illustration prints. The 'Winter Fruit' illustration (that can be found in my gallery) I had two prints of and both sold for about 40.00 each. I can't list everything that went, but that's the first one that came to mind. It was mostly my fine arts that sold, though. (phooey. Those aren't as fun.). I left with a good 17 5.00, but considering expenses to print and to make the paintings/drawings, I hardly made any profit. Darn. It's nice to think someone has my art though! :D
Speaking of expenses, I still need to come up with 4,000 more in order to attend next semester! I'm screwed! *grin*
I think that's all I really want to say right now. Short and sweet 'cause I've got a ride to catch. I'm going back home today and I'm terribly happy. (I'll miss the quiet though. sad.)

Contest Results

Alright, the winners for TheThiefKurone contest will now finally be released. Thank you all for participating and sorry about the delay - there was a couple of late entries and the more the merrier, right? Well, no need to delay any longer. Just know this was extremely difficult considering you (or most of you) are all my friends so I had some outside help to judge this contest (to get rid of all the bias). Remember this contest was all about how CREATIVE you can be. All of them were gorgeous aesthetically. So here goes....

3rd Place – Kittenlark for the medieval twist on a modern day person.

2nd – 15385bic – for the split panel composition

and...

1st – Mizukage for the bandit style reaction to the word ‘thief;.

Congratulations and thanks again to everyone who participated! I will be getting in contact with all of you via pm sometime this week concerning your prizes!
