Luddite, I hope not.

First, as always- The next part of Lythria's revenge

So, as to the title of this post. Up until Sunday, the phone I've had and been more than comfortable with was an old flip phone. No internet, no multi-media messages, really crappy picture quality, etc. Well, now I have a smart phone and am feeling a bit, how do I put this, behind the times. I've still not really figured out the whole app thing and the touch screen is like a foreign, magical thing to me. The weather widget(I think thats the term) doesn't update and I have no idea why. Until this morning I couldn't figure out why the alarm wasn't going off even though it did Monday morning. I just realized that I can check my email on it but can't remember how I did it. I'm sure it is app related.

I've had my old phone for probably more than 5 years. I really don't do much with phones. I mean it's nice to actually have a camera that can take nice picture but most everything else I use my computer to do. Maybe in time I'll find use in these app things. Right now though, the only thing going through my mind are my mother's words when we upgraded, "You have to be smarter than the smartphone." I don't yet feel that I am.

In the cooking world I think I've gotten the right horchata recipe down. The gals who manage my apartment complete loved the latest batch so all I have to do is trade out the milk with either soy or almond milk and I think I'll have a nice treat for my sister's return.

Now that my life has, for the moment, calmed down I've finally gotten back to a decent reading habit.
