NYAF 2009

Gahh this is my first con ever!!! xD

i'm so excited to get a chance to go to NYAF. it's pretty much a month late birthday present to myself lol. My mom and I have already booked our flight but so far all we lack is my weekend pass that still hasn't been sent yet >,> my mom is starting to freak out about it thinking that we were gypped or something but everyone has been telling me that the badges will be printed really soon. I hope so xP

My finalist entry to the NYAF Mascot Contest was edited further and I finally got a chance to make cool t-shirts out of it! i'm gonna make it in black but hopefully it'll come out okay

i made these designs from it. i dunno what else to do with it but these shirts aren't for sale. i'm afraid i'm gonna have a copyright issue with NYAF if i do >,> other than that i would have reserved a table for myself if i wasn't tight on cash but i decided it would be better off to get a chance to walk around the con and enjoy the festival =3

I don't think i'll be spending my entire time at the con since i want to get the chance to walk around NYC since i haven't been there since i lived there again in 2000 but look out for me, just look out for someone that looks like my R.E.V.O.L.V.E.R. character Jay with a newsboy/cabbie hat, you'll find me lol ;] i must warn you though...i'm extremely short in person so you might have to look down to spot me xD

Planning to get Yui Makino and Yoshiyuki Tomino's autographs for my school's anime club and watch the 2009 skits. Also hoping to spot you Otakus there! i'll put up a post of all the people i met after the con ends =]

Plans for Future Cons?:
METROCON 2010 lets hope. I plan to save up to reserve a table there =]
also maybe AnimeFest Orlando if it's open next year

Sorry guys for not updating but i've been in Precollege for a month xP If you guys were paying attention to my posts you would know where went i why i haven't updated. So for a month i attended the Ringling College of Art and Design's precollege program in Sarasota, Florida.

Classes started at 8:30 in the morning and are two and a half hours long. The two main electives I took were Illustration and Dry Media Drawing and these classes were fun and challenging! For example our homework in Dry Media Drawing was to define 'drawing'....Sounds simple right? Well how do you define drawing using only a paper bag? The food there was great, buffet-style and custom-made pizzas and sandwiches (i most definately took advantage of that) and free coffee :D

In the afternoon were CORE classes which mainly consisted of classes that Freshman attending this school would take in their first year. These included Life Study, Figure Drawing, 3D Design, Drawing Form and Space, 2D Design, etc. My favorite class was life study but i'll tell you...that was the first time i've ever drawn nude >,>

Those past weeks were full of business because of everyone was getting ready for final exhibition. I had been constantly going back and forth throughout the campus getting work done and all in all i'm satisfied with the work that i've pulled together this month :). What i loved the most about this place was that we got to take our supplies home! i am now obsessed with using watercolor and india ink @_@

Unfortunately all events tomorrow were cancelled including the Award Ceremony and Final Exhibition. There had been a huge outbreak of Influenza A (and a case of Swine Flu) at the school and everyone was sick including myself. Luckily i only caught the symptoms and not something totally serious >,> So I came home a day early with all the cancellation done. I had a great time and made a lot of new friends who you can see on DA =]

I'll still be working on R.E.V.O.L.V.E.R pages. More updates to come! Trades will be finished and commissions will begin soon. I'm making a price guide now and adding custom-made T-shirt graphics into the mix so look forward to those =]

June is R.E.V.O.L.V.E.R Month!

My sophomore year of high school is coming to an end very soon so once summer comes I'll be back to work again on my manga! I've already started developing ideas in narrative form so production is coming very soon. However, pages will most definately be coming slowly :c

This summer I'll be attending the Ringling College of Art and Design's PreCollege Perspective Program where I'll be studying art more vividly before I enter college the next two years so I'll be hitting the books while I'm there. I get a chance to bring my computer with me so I'm happy for that c:

Other than that things are running very smoothly! I just wish I could get more trades in though. I'm very bored atm lol
