sirens -poem

Under the water,
Are things you can't see,
They lurk in the dark,
Waiting for thee.

Flowing golden-yellow hair,
Adorns skin pale and fair,
Beautiful beyond compare,
All the sailor stand and stare.

Standing in place,
Falling into a deep trance,
They see you stare,
And take their chance.

Lulling them into the sea,
With their charm,
But they only wish to,
Cause you harm.

Walking, running,
Into the sea,
But still walking on land,
Or so they believe.

Breathing in water,
Like breathing in air,
If you wake up,
You'll drown in despair.

Cause the creatures are watching ,
And waiting for you,
They take every chance,
To see you through.

The feed on your life,
And you'll never escape,
You'll drowned in the ocean,
Before you wake.

They are the devils of the deep,
and the fantasies of the week,
they have many names,
but one describes them quiet clear,
sirens.
