ごめなさい。
こんばんは!
お げんきですか?
Sorry!
Good evening!
How are you doing?
I'm am so sorry that I have not posted yet.
Well, this is going to be a small part of the first lesson. I am going to ask that if you have not signed up for this class, please leave this world. DO NOT COMMENT!!! I will come after you if you do. You may enter the waiting list for next semester if you wish to join.
But to the few of you who are in this class. WELCOME TO NIHONGO-ICHI!!!!!!
Just quick note, when you meet someone in Japan, you always bow, Ojigi
Ojigi is a way to show respect. When you are meeting someone who's status is higher than yours, you bow deeply. When you are meeting someone who is lower than you, you still bow, but just not as deeply. I will explain more on this later!
But, just to show you what I mean, when I start each class, I shall say/type: Konnichiwa, or, Ohaiyo-Gosimasu, or even, Konbanwa! Again, I shall explain later what those mean. But for now,
Swatte Kudasai!!!!!
Stand up please!!
When you bow, for women, you shall put your hands in your lap. Just general knowledge!
When you finish,
Tatte Kudasai!!!!
Sit down please!
Ok, since this isn't technically the first lesson, I'm just going to give you a quick little rundown of the 5 Japanese vowels. This is true for ALL 4 languages of Nihon-go:
A as in Aloha
I as in ink
U as in full
E as in bell
O as in oil
Please practice saying those! When you are speaking them, open your mouth as wide as it can go!!! It will greatly help you with your pronunciation later down the road.
This is all for now, watch some anime and try speaking some of the words you hear. You will be amazed that almost all words are pronounced with these!!
NOTE: THESE ARE THE ONLY WAY TO PRONOUNCE THESE VOWELS!!! THESE ARE THE ONLY VOWEL SOUNDS!!!
So please just listen to a song, or some anime, and you will realize that these are the only vowel sounds they use!!
Sorry that this is all so short, but it's all I have time for now. Please try to keep your game faces and bear with me unil I get a steady internet connection going. Then we shall start full-swing!!! ^_^
ありがと!!!!
さよなら!!!
Thank you!
Goodbye!
