A Bitter Sweet Love Poem

You are like a bitter sweet chinese love song,

You run through my mind a day long.

The words you play as soft as the music they play,

Every step you take has rythem like the beat that runs the day.

You are a metaphore and a lore that love is told by,

Your arms and thoughts reach me so high that I touch the very sky.

The warmth of you face is like the sun kissing my skin on a spring day.

You eyes light up my life like the moon does the night and the sun does the day.

Your love sends shockwaves through my soul,

To be by your side was once my goal.

So that we could dance to the same beat,

But sometimes it feels as though we would never meet.

If we could dance to that beat, we would amongst the cherry blossoms.

If we could make wishes on stars I would, then toss them,

Maybe off a bridge over a river trapping the full moon,

Then I would know that our wishes would be real soon.

Until then hold me in your heart,

And I'll keep you in mine so that we never part.

End
