Busy Weekend

Hey Everyone! Hope ya'll had a good and productive weekend.

Mine was busy but good. First think Saturday morning I took my 1988 Jeep Wrangler in for State Inspection. Well it failed so now I have 30 days to fix what is on it or have to pay the inspection fee again.

So the Jeep failed because of bad wiper blades (forgot to them Friday but was working on stuff till about 9 that night), EGR (emission gas recirculation) pipe was missing but that is not needed for the new carburetor on the engine and the brake lines were touching the frame in about six different places. The last think was the brake fluid container was leaking a little bit.

If you remember the pictures of Jeep the tyres on it should have failed but they passed them. So over the weekend had been working on fixing the said problems so I can get it inspected again this week.

Everything that was noted for fixing has been looked at except for two things. The EGR pipe is still in place nor is the gasket I need for the brake fluid container. Looking to get parts for them today at Auto Zone.

Then later on Saturday I got my dad, neighbor and mother to help with jacking and blocking off the Dakota Cab. I will have picture of that up on here soon to keep the project log complete.

So now I can continue with working on getting the pickup project going. Next step for that is to remove the manifolds, catalytic converter and exhaust pipes.

Sunday was a little less hectic. Not much happened except for more thinking of how to reduce the 2 inch EGR pipe down to a 1/2 tube to fit into the carburetor.

Well hope everyone has a good week!
