Hello! You seem to have stumbled upon Teh Base of Ace.

Feel free to look around, comment if you want. I may not post often, but I'll try to have something interesting to talk about. Also, I doodle a bit now and then. If anything's good enough to share, I'll probably post it.

Compromise is still kinda sucky.

Yeah, so my parents are forcing me to watch Roots. I basically have no say in the matter. Their best reasoning seems to be "because we said so." Apparently "I don't want to" doesn't fly around here, even though it's pretty much just as legitimate an argument.

It's okay, though. They agreed to let me force them to watch Avatar.

Still, At the end of the day I'm still watching Roots.

...Crap.

P.S. I had to quit Anime Club early tonight for a number of reasons, chief among which being the fact that dinner was ready and the fact that my modem crapped out again for a very long time.

My, uhh... Past 3 Days in Pseudo-Anime

I've been marathonning Avatar: the Last Airbender every free chance I get for the past couple of days now. I've arrived at episode 19 of book 2, and I figured I'd share some thoughts before going to bed and letting it load (suspenseful, h...

;_;

My parents are the type of people to hold me to my mistakes. If I do something, I accept the consequences. This has been a fact of life for as long as I can remember and it seems to have worked out pretty well so far.

This is important due to the following.

Today, mom got the windshield wipers replaced on one of our cars. She noticed that one of them was loose, though. We examined it and discovered that the part was disproportionately small. We couldn't do anything about it, so we decided to take off the wiper and head for the shop to see if we could get it corrected.

Long story short, a windshield wiper without a blade is a metal springloaded death club. It slipped from my grasp and hit the windshield hard enough to crack it. The windshield spiderwebbed, which rendered it incapable of repair. Insurance doesn't cover replacement.

I had about 70 dollars or so saved up for DVDs. Now I owe my parents 96 dollars.

Dammit.

You know what?

All this whining and bickering isn't getting us anywhere. I've heard it all before. This Dragonball movie is going to be the worst thing EVAR. All of our collective childhoods are going to be raped into submission, then shot in the head execution-...

Library? Books? Wha...?

Went to the library today. I got three books.

2001: A Space Odyssey. It's a classic, so I figured I couldn't go wrong.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Once again, a classic. Plus I'm curiouls as to exactly how badly Gainax butchered this one with Nadia and the Secret of Blue Water.

And finally, Tales of Beedle the Bard. Yes, that new book from J.K. Rowling. Because why the hell not.

So yeah. If all goes according to plan, I may even read one of these.
