It sure has been a hell of a looong time since I updated here. Sorry for not keeping up with you guys these few months. College has been one hell of a ride. A LOT of things have happened for the past year but I didn’t have time to update about them earlier due to time constraints. So from this point on, I’ll be doing a recollection of stuff that happened in 2008 in a series of posts called “~MEMOIRS~”... as early back as February 2008 >_> Most of these are just gonna be boring life (and school, as usual) stuff. So here I go with the first one- February 25th, 2008. Ohoh... I still remember the exact date, how cool is that? >8D
I could only recall this date because it was one day before the 26th, which was when I was officially enrolled in a fixed college for the next two years. On the 25th, I went out with my friends to watch “L: Change the World”. Yeah, you guessed it, it’s a Death Note spinoff movie. I guess I only remember this movie well because it’s the only anime-based movie I’ve watched that year (and I rarely ever go to the theatres for that matter). I’ve watched the first Death Note movie in late 2006 and the second one (Death Note: The Last Name) the year after that. Sad to say the movie storyline deviated a lot from the original manga script, and a lot of characters got left out, like Mello.
I really enjoyed L: Change the World =D And probably a lot of other L fans would too. This one’s hilarious, very unlike the previous Death Note movies. I mean, you can sorta imagine what a movie would be like when L is made the main character, lolz. And in this one, he gets to babysit 2 kids. Dear Raito fans, expect no mention of Kira in this movie. At the end of the second movie, he’s... well... as you can obviously tell, dead. Don’t ask why L is still alive at this point, go watch yourself. So, with Kira and the Death Note gone (the Shinigami too), there’s no sign of any sort of witty or intelligent detective tricks in this spinoff. This is an all-out action movie, and quite a funny one at that. As to how you depict L as an action star, I leave it up to your imagination =P But it was fun to watch him being one, lol. People around me were laughing throughout the early parts.
And omg Near is a Thai kid O_O
Hmmm... now this gets me thinking about why theOtaku never mentions anything about Death Note live-action movies. I know stuff like these are released in Asia usually years before they’re released in other regions, but have you guys watched any of them yet? =/

... okay... that was quite a lighthearted post! But from the next one onwards (Feb 26), college and some household soap opera would start taking the spotlight, so it’s gonna be hell to write.
Please bear with me -_-
