I'm not accepting requests as of now. I don't even have time to draw for myself because of college *grumbles*. Any previous requests made before are also cancelled. I deeply apologise for this =(

久し振りだねえー!

It's been a while since I've actually paid a visit to theO, lol. I'm sure I've missed out on a lot on updates. I came here to apologise to you guys for, once again, going AWOL and for not commenting on your updates. みんなさんごめんね! >_<

Anyway, I've decided to leave a post telling you guys I'll be taking a break from here. I definitely need it... seeing as how I couldn't even find the opportunity to simply click on the link to theO *sighs*.

College has been extremely draining =( I believe I've said this a gazillion times without mentioning a single detail, lol. Here's one for a start: the phrase "finish your homework" no longer exists because assignments have no specific deadlines; teachers will go over the solutions regardless of whether we did them or not and it's our own loss if we don't. Every topic for every subject will contain one or more assignments, issued after lectures are done covering the theory section. A new assignment will always come before you finish the previous one. To put it in simpler terms: the flow is endless. If we lag behind on one topic, we have to face an uphill task of catching up or we'll be left behind forever. To make things worse, we have tests thrown in on random weeks =_=

We'll be taking the "A" Levels this coming November so they're teaching really fast to let us start revision ASAP. College here lasts for only 2 years and this is our graduating year. Imagine having to cram the entire syllabus within this time period, multiply that by the number of subjects we take, which is about 5 (we've cleared another 2 subjects in the first year, so it all adds up to 7).

School hours are pretty long too. It begins at 7.30 a.m. and ends at about 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. depending on the schedule. If we're engaged in co-curricular activities, we leave as late as 8 p.m. It's been like this since last year T-T Lectures and tutorials in the day and homework at night... our chill-off sessions are close to zero T-T If we lose the momentum, we fall behind. I wake up at 6 a.m. everyday and go to bed at, the earliest, 12 midnight and, at the latest, 3 a.m. (everyone in college has huge eyebags for a reason, lol).

Yep, so that's the gist of my daily routine. I'm so sorry again for having to miss out on your updates in the future =( I have a one-month break in June... which is really for the purpose of preparing for mid-year exams that'll start immediately after break's over... but I'm sure I can at least find the time to visit you guys ^^ Look forward till then!

Over these few months, my anime list has lengthened a little, lol. I leave the torrent download window open whenever I'm sleeping so I've accumulated quite a bit =P I watch them whenever I feel sleepy at night while doing assignments to keep myself awake, haha xD The list is up there in the intro section of this World.

Damn... I have a strong urge to rant about how much I love them but I don't have time! ARGH! D:<

Oh, and if you guys noticed, I added in a new hobby in the intro page ;) I've been into seiyuu for many years now, but recently it's turning into an obsession, hehe. My self-taught Japanese brought me a long way: I've started buying Seiyuu magazines and surfing Japanese websites =P Once I spot a Seiyuu mag, I'd recognise all those names in Kanji in an instant... someone please stop me @_@ My newfound favourite is Saiga Mitsuki. She's not only amazing as a seiyuu, but also an extraordinary singer (Congrats, Saiga-san! You've conquered my playlist). She sings even manlier than she talks, lol. Believe me on that one. IMO, her man-self beats even that of Paku Romi, Minagawa Junko, Kobayashi Sanae and... EVERYONE ELSE! See her anime roles here.

... I think I should start a Seiyuu fanclub on theO... WHEN I HAVE TIME!

Ahem... anyway, I'll probably continue writing the ~MEMOIRS~ posts about my past events later on in June. I hope you guys are doing well. Until next time!

Erm... I don't usually demand for comments or anything, but it puts me at ease to know that you guys have been notified of my absence, so I'd appreciate it if you can leave just a simple indication that you've read this post. It can be a one-word comment for all I care, I just need a sign =) Thanks a lot!

P.S. To john3:16- Happy Belated Birthday! I just saw the alert thingy today when I visited theO... sorry for being late! I hope you've received the gift. Thanks for being such a good friend for all these years we've known each other! *hugs*

(And I apologise if this post appeared twice on your update tracker ^^; I accidentally pasted this to "Add Post" instead of "Modify Post" while editing, sorry!)

~MEMOIRS~ February 25th, 2008

It sure has been a hell of a looong time since I updated here. Sorry for not keeping up with you guys these few months. College has been one hell of a ride. A LOT of things have happened for the past year but I didn’t have time to update about them earlier due to time constraints. So from this point on, I’ll be doing a recollection of stuff that happened in 2008 in a series of posts called “~MEMOIRS~”... as early back as February 2008 >_> Most of these are just gonna be boring life (and school, as usual) stuff. So here I go with the first one- February 25th, 2008. Ohoh... I still remember the exact date, how cool is that? >8D

I could only recall this date because it was one day before the 26th, which was when I was officially enrolled in a fixed college for the next two years. On the 25th, I went out with my friends to watch “L: Change the World”. Yeah, you guessed it, it’s a Death Note spinoff movie. I guess I only remember this movie well because it’s the only anime-based movie I’ve watched that year (and I rarely ever go to the theatres for that matter). I’ve watched the first Death Note movie in late 2006 and the second one (Death Note: The Last Name) the year after that. Sad to say the movie storyline deviated a lot from the original manga script, and a lot of characters got left out, like Mello.

I really enjoyed L: Change the World =D And probably a lot of other L fans would too. This one’s hilarious, very unlike the previous Death Note movies. I mean, you can sorta imagine what a movie would be like when L is made the main character, lolz. And in this one, he gets to babysit 2 kids. Dear Raito fans, expect no mention of Kira in this movie. At the end of the second movie, he’s... well... as you can obviously tell, dead. Don’t ask why L is still alive at this point, go watch yourself. So, with Kira and the Death Note gone (the Shinigami too), there’s no sign of any sort of witty or intelligent detective tricks in this spinoff. This is an all-out action movie, and quite a funny one at that. As to how you depict L as an action star, I leave it up to your imagination =P But it was fun to watch him being one, lol. People around me were laughing throughout the early parts.

And omg Near is a Thai kid O_O

Hmmm... now this gets me thinking about why theOtaku never mentions anything about Death Note live-action movies. I know stuff like these are released in Asia usually years before they’re released in other regions, but have you guys watched any of them yet? =/

... okay... that was quite a lighthearted post! But from the next one onwards (Feb 26), college and some household soap opera would start taking the spotlight, so it’s gonna be hell to write.

Please bear with me -_-

Happy 43rd Birthday, Singapore!

Regarding the art theft issue I mentioned in the previous post, I guess the best course of action is to send a copy-paste message to those who've commented on the artworks, then report her. How does that sound?

Anyway, I still don't have the time to write about my past few months ('cuz they're lengthy -_-) but I'll take the opportunity to wish Singapore a Happy 43rd National Day! For once I'm on time, lol. Feels weird having 2 major occasions happening at the same time, with the Olympics that started the day before...

Speaking of the Olympics, the opening ceremony was way too impressive O_o There're so many people performing all at once doing all sorts of complicated moves but they're so well-coordinated! Seeing how they did the count-down at the very beginning already had me frozen to my seat, lol. For once, I felt proud to be Chinese, although I don't live in China... and all I did was sit in front of the TV and watch! x) I fell asleep not long after the uber long and boring march-past parade thingy (how many countries were there again?).

There were a hell lot of marriages and births going on yesterday too. The date was exactly 8/8/2008... Chinese superstition, lawlz.

Now that I've witnessed the awesomeness of the Beijing opening, the National Day Parade at home wasn't interesting anymore ^^; The only thing that intrigues me was how I saw the jets on TV and hearing their engines roar outside my window at the same time. Same goes for the fireworks. The helicopter carrying the giant national flag flew over my roof like how it did last year, lol.

I kinda like this year's National Day theme song. It's lovely but also full of nonsense and propaganda :P Here's the MV if you wanna see it:

I don't have school on Monday, It's kinda tempting to take this time to enjoy... but college never fails to keep us occupied with homework for the long weekend >_> I'm sorry again for not commenting on anyone's updates. Gomen!

Someone stole my artworkz

I never knew my next update would be about this... I was planning to start posting my "monthly updates" beginning from February (which nobody really needs to know because it's super-outdated), but I guess there's something more urgent to tend to now.

Title explains everything.

Many thanks to my friend john3:16 for the heads-up. Some wise-ass called Sakurachan07 from deviantART posted a handful of my stuff into her gallery. Not only am I pissed off, I'm also really scared now because this puts me into really deep shit.

So why am I in deep shit? Simple. If you take a good look at my gallery in dA, you'll notice that they contain just a few of my old junk. The art thief probably didn't know that I have an account in dA and went around submitting some of my more recent (if you can call those recent) fanarts into her gallery.

In other words, she outran me! x_x

There're already so many people who've commented on those stolen artworks and they've all- amazingly- been fooled even though my signature was right smack there in some of the stolen stuff -_-

Now this is where I need your opinions on how I deal with this matter. I know the easy way out is to report her and the stolen fanarts would be taken down sooner or later, but... I'm afraid that once I post the same pics into my gallery in the future, those who commented on the pics before without realising they were stolen would report me for stealing my own artwork instead!

Oh noes, what should I do? T-T

For starters, to those who have an account in dA, please do NOT go reporting her yet, or worse, warn her about it (she might simply take down her stuff and get away with it all!). Please let me deal with this myself, hopefully with some helpful advice from you guys. Some of the stuff in her gallery seem to be stolen from other artists as well but sadly I don't know who they are.

Ah crap... this is what I get for not submitting my artworks fast enough. Due punishment for the super procrasticator...

Going off topic, college is getting more difficult to cope with lately and end-of-year exams are about 2 months away, so I'd rarely be around to comment on your updates these coming months. Sorry about that. And I apologise again to people whose updates I have missed out on.

Naruto Chapter 404 + Exam Paranoia

Don't worry, I'm not gonna reveal any spoilers here, but...

I never knew... the Mizukage is... actually... O_o

Okay, it's best not to go on from there, but if you're curious, here's the link to the chapter:

http://www.mangavolume.com/naruto/chapter-naruto-404/

I've been using this "online alter ego" (lol) for ages now, but who would've known that he's *spoiler beep*.

Naruto's getting a lot more interesting now. The climax is nearing, but Kishimoto-sensei's killing off too many of his characters... and at such a terrifying rate!

lol, I never knew my first post here would turn out like this, but I just had the urge to say it (my profile page looks kinda empty too). I haven't updated about myself (like what I did in myOtaku) for the past few months, but I guess I don't have the time for that. I'll only write about this month, the past months can wait till I'm free... which is rarely.

My one-month break is gonna be over in less than a week. *sigh* I don't wanna call it a "break", because the mid-year exams will start on the first day of the following term x_x I haven't done much revision either (too many distractions lol), and even though I can stay up overnight to revise, it isn't productive...

This is my first time having a long school break before exams (usually it's the other way round), and it just feels really WEIRD to study during a school break. Sure, I had a one-week exam break before the "O" Levels last year, but that was meant for studying in the first place. College stole my holidays and my much needed playtime!

The government is going bonkers... and it's making us go bonkers too! This is student oppression, dammit!

If you've known me long enough and read my posts regularly at myOtaku last year, each and every one of my posts have a part which has something to do with my boring school life... it's unavoidable -_-

For those staying in the west, have a great summer!
