[2] Day Trip to LA--All Nighter @.@

1/2/2011

Don't ask me how I'm able to write this. Honestly, I have no idea how I'm even still functioning. I guess it's just my will to be with my friends who ease me so well. Hm, where to start. I don't expect this to make much sense or even be very long, but here we go.

The Trip to LA was awesome. We went to the Getty Villa and got to see a lot of amazing sculptures, architecture, and fountains. I loved taking pics with my cousins and family, they always make me smile in photos even when I thought I'd lost that a long time ago. We then went to the Santa Monica pier...even though it was sprinkling/light raining, it was a nice experience. We had fun taking in the sights, and hope to go back when it's sunny and more places are open. *laughs* Mom got soaked. I didn't get near as wet as the others did...thankfully. I hate cold rain *sour face*

And now, before my following comment, I want everyone to understand my cousin is a GREAT Driver. I love him to death and I trust him even though he likes to scare the crap out of me. ^^; It's the other ppl on the road I don't trust. However, today definitely made the top Three of my worst car-rides in my entire life. Mainly because it contained two of my least favorite elements: Uncertainty of direction/location, and WINDING ROADS.

It all started when we attempted to head home down I-5...only to discover the highway was closed due to snow. Having OnStar in the car we were driving, we had them plan out a new route for us........one that would take nearly 6 hours! We tried to get a new route that would cut us around quicker...but we were very NOT pleased to discover it lead us straight to another closed road. Oh, but that was after nearly 2 hours of driving on that route, THROUGH VERY WINDY ROADS IN THE MOUNTAINS. I do not do windy roads. I don't know what it is about me, but they make me sick...so naturally I was miserable. It's also a factor as to why I despise Rollercoasters. I swear, I just wanted someone to knock me out. >.< And it was worse that when we got to the end of the windy road to find it closed, we had to turn around and go back down it. *whines* Though we got directions from a man there on what we'd have to do...it took us WAY away from home before bringing us around and back again. We ran into people at the gas stations we stopped at that had been diverted the same way too. Some of them had been stuck in traffic since 1pm. We left my cousin's place(after dropping him off in LA) at 4pm. The time I finally arrived home? 1:20 am. I spent a consecutive 12 hours in the car today. So yes, I'm rather beat. But I'm stubborn. *laughs*

....Stubbornness is wearing out though. I really should turn out before I sleep at my computer.

Take care everyone~
