It's been a year since the events of Kingdom Hearts and Sora,Riku,and Kairi are finally back home on the Destiny Islands were everything was peaceful,or so it would seem, for now. The Destiny Islands was as beautiful as it ever was and Sora and Kairi were now boyfriend and girlfriend,well getting there anyway. For now they decided they would be good friends. Riku still had some feelings for Kairi but not as much as he used to. Sora and Riku didn't compete as much for Kairi's feelings because Riku knew that Kairi liked Sora. Roxas and Namine came out of Sora and Kairi to say hi every now and then. But lately things suddenly changed.
Sora was at home in his room and he fell asleep. It wasn't his usual dreams where him and Kairi kissed and they danced at this very elegant ball. He was dreaming of events to come and he found himself in this unusual place,there was a castle and a city of lights. Sora had no idea what this place was. There were abunch of rides around like an amusement park. Sora was in Disney World and he saw an unusual creature. It looked like a bank robber and it had a mischievous grin on its face, like it was up to something. It certainly looked like a robber and then Sora saw it running towards a person,simalar to a heartless attacking to steal a person's heart. Instead it didn't attack the heart. It attacked a good dream and shattered it. Sora tried to call upon the keyblade but it didn't work the first time. The second time he called on the keyblade it came to him.
Sora lunged at the unusual creature with all his might but he found out the keyblade didn't affect these unusual beings. He had no idea what they were called so he called them Dream Thieves. The Dream Thief lunged at Sora and tried to steal his good dreams but he woke up before the thief could get to him. He ran to Riku and Kairi to tell them about his unusual dream. They just laughed at him.
"Sora, how could you possibly end up in Disney World? You know there's no such place." Kairi taunted him and shook her head and laughed.
"Sora what are Dream Thieves? They sound like bank robbers to me." Riku said as he laughed his head off.
"IT'S NOT FUNNY!" he yelled at them with anger and he called his keyblade and he appeared to be in somesort of a trance. Kairi and Riku called their keyblades and fought Sora until he was so tired he could barely stand. He collasped on the sand and did not wake for a few days. Kairi took him to her house and she took care of him.
When Sora woke up he found himself in Kairi's room which had alot of pink all over the walls. There were pictures of her,Sora,and Riku on various parts of the walls. There was also pictures of the Disney Princesses,she was a big fan of them. And she was a princess of heart. Kairi was glad to see Sora was awake.
"Sora are you okay?" she asked him.
"Yeah I'll be fine but I didn't appreciate you guys laughing at me." he replied.
"Sorry." was all she said.
Kairi left Sora laying on the bed while she went over and rummaged through her desk droor for the note that King Mickey sent to them in a bottle. When she found it she read it aloud.
"Dear,Sora,Riku,and Kairi,
I'm afraid darkness has struck again and there will be some new enemies to face. These ones aren't heartless or nobodies I'm afraid. They call themselves Dream Thieves and they're plan is to rid the world of happy dreams and make it a nightmare world. You may have heard of them or you may have not. It's up to you guys to protect the worlds and keep the balance of good and bad dreams. The year of a million dreams is going on at Disney World and the people who go there to have their dreams come true are in danger. Sora, you have to stop the Dream Thieves before it's too late. Donald and Goofy will accompany you on this mission. Also Organization 13 is back and they plan to kidnap the eight enhchanted princesses who dream pure dreams. This is all I can tell you for now. When I get more information, I'll let you know. Be on your guard.
Sicerely,King Mickey." With that she closed the scroll and walked over to Sora who was still laying on her bed.
"I guess what you said was true and to think that all those good dreams will be gone if we don't do something. Let's protect those good dreams together." Kairi said with great determination.
"Ok." Sora said happily.
They left the next morning for Disney Castle to meet King Mickey,Donald,and Goofy to fight along side them.
"This is going to be our toughest adventure yet." said Riku to Sora and Kairi.
"Yeah it will be." replied Kairi.
"Let's fight these Dream Thieves together and protect everyone's pure dreams." Sora said with great determination. With that they sailed toward Disney Castle and wondered where their adventure would take them next.
