I think it had to do with downloading the newest version of itunes. As soon as I did that, it blanked. And I've tried several times to restore my computer back to a date when I know I had my library still, but it's not doing a thing. Other than that there's nothing else missing. It's just my music. I don't know; it's weird.

Oh well. I'm loading it all on my laptop now, it's faster then my desktop is. Thanks though. :)

Jeez, that sucks. Other than your library, is there anything else gone from your computer? Had anything unusual just happened with a software update or even an itunes update? Even if you can't get your library back, it would be easier to deal with emotionally if you could at least identify the problem. Do you have some form of disk imaging software that you back up all your data with? If you do, you probably would have already thought to restore your itunes files, but still, no harm suggesting it.

I've had issues with itunes in the past, though my problem wasn't losing my entire library, it just no longer recognized one of my external hard-drives, so all the music I'd loaded from it had to be re-opened in itunes. It was thousands of songs and sucked hardcore. And it happened twice. Royal pain in the rear end. And now, the most recent version of itunes doesn't let any of the tag information be altered on songs that are encoded in specific earlier formats, so again, a large portion of my 10,000 song library isn't functioning up to par. Wouldn't it be nice if things just always worked? XP

Along Chase's line of thought - don't give up hope before checking different places on your computer. See if you simply need to load your folder again, or if a recent itunes update conflicted with something on your computer. Perhaps a system restore would re-associate your library file with itunes. Hope it works out to be not so much of a hassle, one way or the other. XP

Maybe the stuff is just gone from the player. Did you check to see if your iTunes Music folder is still there? If it is, all you have to do is go to File, then Add Folder to Library to restore everything.
