I remember storms like that when I lived in states that actually got real rain. I don't miss it at all. Though I also had more of a rain outfit instead of an umbrella since like you noticed, when it's really coming down, they're useless.

Surprisingly enough, I do actually know what it is like. Then again, maybe it is not surprising, considering the weather in California has gone batshit bonkers this year. I am almost glad we are in the middle of a massive heat wave because there is at least some consistency now ...

Instead of umbrellas we all need those inflatable plastic bubbles.
