It was a nice afternoon, perfect for training. Kasumi had been in Akatsuki for a week and had already met all and became friends with most of the members. She had joined being a little less than an s-ranked ninja, so her training was going to be harsh. Kasumi knew that, but she didn't expect it to be quite as difficult as it was, she only had to hold her own until sunset.
Suna was assigned to observe the training, so she found herself a good, safe spot in the trees. Kasumi had multiple training partners, Deidara, Sasori, and Itachi.
"Let's hurry up and get this over with!!" Sasori said.
"Right!" Deidara, Itachi, and Kasumi responded. Kasumi started off in hand-to-hand combat with Itachi, wich was difficult, seeing as looking into his eyes was the last thing she wanted to do, yet she was holding her own.
Kasumi ended the taijutsu duel with ninjutsu. "Water Style! Paralisis Rain Jutsu!!" She said. Next thing she knew there was a clay rose on Kasumi's shoulder. "Senpai!! Be more serious!!" She yelled.
"Weren't you ever tought? Shinobi read the hidden meanings within the hidden meanings."
"What the hell do you mean by that?!" Kasumi responded.
"Kasumi!! Brush that thing off your shoulder!!" Suna screamed.
It was too late, the clay rose exploded on her shoulder. Kasumi clutched her shoulder as she fell to the ground. Sasori sent his pack of 100 puppets after her, poisoned weapons and all. She rolled around on the ground to avoid them, but a few of the weapons managed to pin her to the ground, as a bunch of clay spiders exploded around the newbie. One of the clay spiders exploded near Kasumi's head, knocking her out.
"I think that's enough..." Deidara said as Itachi was about to perform a jutsu. "She's already been near death once, she doesn't need it again after only a week."
Itachi and Sasori agreed. Sasori carefully removed the poisoned weapons and applied the antidote, then allowed Deidara to carry Kasumi to the infirmary.
