Wow!!! I thought I was the only one who was affected by Beserk! I was traumatized... well not exactly, but I stopped reading the manga after book 7, I think? I'm sorry that the manga affected you so negatively.. but just between you annd me I had nightmares to... at least I hope noone else reads these. xD

I had a sword that my friend let me carry!! It was a realy sword too! I don't have a picture, but I'm pretty sure a wooden sword is lighter than the metal made one. Do you wear glasses, or is it that your eyes look magnified or something?
Maybe I'm looking at the picture wrong...

You're talking (writing?) to someone who's the master of the disappearing act! If you have to stay away from your site for a while, do it. Posting for the sake of posting may come to feel like it's an obligatory duty, rather than something interesting to do.

I almost feel the same way with fan art. However, my issue with my fan art is with creativity and time constraints. Never allow your creativity to follow the soothing voice which proceeds from the mouth of competition. Plenty of fan artists follow that voice, and they often produce works which are alright, but not great.

If you find or make your own point, make it worthwhile to yourself. Be creative, not popular, my friend.

One more thing: if they ever bring back the cosplay section, you have to take a picture with that sword!

Yeah, that is the hard bit. I have problems overcoming that too, but I try to think of it more positively, like the satisfaction I get when I've finally got an idea out of my head and onto paper ^^

That's the thing though, I have a bunch of ideas, I just have no drive to write them. I now feel like, "What's the point?"

It was more the way in which it dealt with the violence is what got me. Like when some priest guy killed some people by pulling them apart into a bunch of pieces, then hung them up as a warning. Just the way that it was all dealt with and reacted to by the characters is what really angered and disgusted me.

The whole thing just really made me want to be in the story so I could clean everything up. lol, ugh.

And yeah, Berserk is super messed up. I don't get terribly affected by the violence, though, so I can stomach most of it. I'd say the anime is milder in how graphic it is, though still pretty messed up. ^^;;

Hey, if you really want to write the articles, go ahead ^^ No matter how many or how few people end up reading my Doctor Who reviews and stuff, I'll still write them because I enjoy doing it and I need to keep up and improve my writing. So, do it if it's something you enjoy.

Yeah, Berserk is pretty twisted, but I kind of like it about that. I need to catch up on it actually, but I'll have to order the books.
