*Chapter 1*

The dream was always the same: Thirteen people in black-hooded robes standing in a large circle around a boy my age. He had blond, spikey hair, and bright blue eyes, wide in fear, yet narrowed in fury. He had a large-bladed sword in his shaking hands.
"What have you done with her?" He screamed, glancing challengingly around the circle, and tightening his grip on his sword.
The dark figures snickered. One of them walked over and stood in front of the boy.
"She's gone, Roxas. You'll never find her," The young man said.
The boy called Roxas shook his head. "No she's not! Stop lying!"
Another hooded person stode into the conversation, and stood beside the other hooded figure.
"Oh, stop being so rude, Marluxia," He said simply as he flipped his hood off. It was a young man with stunning spikey red hair, which was somewhat long, and black lines tatooed under his amazingly bright green eyes.
He shined a sly grin. "Be nice to our guest." He folded his arms across his chest.
"Stay out of this, Axel," Marluxia hissed calmly, trying to sound menacing from under his hood.
Axel smiled, then went to stand behind Roxas. He put his hands one the boy's shoulders. Roxas shrugged them off, but still stood there, comforted by someone's kindness.
"Why? So you can drive the kid mad? He just wants to find his girl," Axel defended, blinking his eyes rapidly.
"She's not 'my girl'," Roxas growled.
"Okay, how about girlfriend." Axel grinned, purposely irritating.
"She's not my girlfriend!" Roxas yelled, balling up his fists.
"Fine, fine. Just his friend, then," Axel sighed. "He just wants to save his friend."
"Come on, Axel, just stand aside so can get rid of him," Marluxia grumbled.
Axel stood up straight, and stood about an inch away from Marluxia's eyes.
"No."
Marluxia let out a wail of annoyance as he whipped around and walked back to his spot in the circle.
"Demyx, go talk to him, PLEASE!"
A short hooded person nodded, then strod over quickly.
"Axel," Another young man's voice said hopefully. "Could you leave Roxas to Marluxia? Please?"
"Dem, step aside," another figure said, pushing him to the side of him with a swipe of his hand. "DUDE! LEAVE ALREADY!" He yelled right in Axel's face.
"Oh, that majorly made me mad, Xaldin," He growled, summoning his chakrams.
"Really? Why don't you put your weapon where your mouth is, you useless snuff of flame." Xaldin laughed. "You have no legs to stand on."
Flames shot up from the floor, flickering angrily.
"I'd love to," Axel replied, lunging towards the figure, beginning the battle.
