Dear Nina,
Very weird, bad, and extraordinary day. First of all, there was no water in my house. Yesterday, it was just fine. But I woke up to find that I couldn't wash my face, there was NO water. Of course all of us panicked and called the plumber. Unfortunatly, the plumber said he wouldn't be here until Monday. He said that the water isn't coming out mostly because it's frozen. FROZEN. Can you believe it? I didn't, until my mother went to the car. At first I thought it was because they are building a new house next to ours. And they were the ones who turned on our lights somehow, remember? They probably messed with our water. MEANIES! Anyway. All the soda bottles in the car were open and splattered. Don't worry, it didn't make a mess, because it was ICE. And the only "survivor" water bottle was this bottle with mostly ice in it. That's when I believed. And we went with no water for about this whole day. My mom couldn't stand not taking a shower, so she went to our community shower place and showered there. And believe me, for us it was hard to go to the bathroom. My mom had to pour water into it and she limited us with our flushes. We waited and waited for the water. I couldn't even wash my hands after going to the bathroom, I had to use hand sanitizer. It was crazy. Every once in a while, I turned on the shower to see if it worked. No luck. But 2 hours ago, I heard this really loud noise. I thought it was the pipes bursting. I called my parents. It was coming from the bathroom! And when we stepped inside... the water was working! Somebody must have left the sink on cause water came out just like that. It wasn't working just a few minutes ago, and the water came out! AWESOME! You should have seen us, we were jumping around and hugging each other! That meant I didn't have to wait till Monday to take a shower! YAY!
Since I had nothing to do today that was related to water, I just talked to my friend, Aisha on the phone. She told me that Obama was currently in OUR country. HOW EXCITING! She said she was going to go see him. That's just so awesome, being able to see Barack Obama. Too bad we were stuck inside. Wow, that would have been so cool to see BARACK OBAMA! WOW! Who would have known he would be passing by our country? I would have love to meet the new president!
I forgot to tell you yesterday, but I'm teaching my little brother how to play the recorder!! He's always wanted to play the clarinet, and since he might not be able to, I'm just going to teach him how to play the recorder. Same instrument family, right? And since I have tons of papers of music for recorders (from Germany, my 5th grade teacher taught us how to play), 3 recorders, and since I was bored, I decided to create him a music school. And he is excited. Too bad we didn't have a lesson today, he's been begging me. But then again, he was pretty bad at it yesterday. He couldn't even get the basic notes, G, A, and B. His fingers are a bit too small :P.

P.S. I'm typing this on my mom's computer again because I'm too scared to go upstairs at the moment.

Question & Answer:

Q: WOW! That is EXTRAordinary. What else did you do today?
A: I also got the chance to read my book. Today was a pretty long day. REALLY LONG. No, really long. A bit too long. We watched movies, played Rockband 2, watched TV, were bored, it's amazing how long this day was.
